Beautiful hotel
The location is what makes this hotel great..
Stay at the Eagle this past May. Very easy going vibe and loved the pools stayed open late. Nothing over the top, but the money saved can’t beat it. Access to Super foods was great if you don’t eat out or enjoy meals in room. Great for long stays on the happy island without breaking the bank.

We will be going to Aruba in December 2024 after all. Not sure if we will stay at Eagle Resort or at Holiday Inn.
@@Costinga1 the holiday inn location is great but the resort is tired! Not a good bed in our opinion. The Eagle Aruba has good rooms, close to the grocery store and the beach is amazing, however you may need a car to go to the palm beach strip.. only thing holiday inn has is location

We enjoyed the Embassy suites more than the Holiday Inn.. it is not hard to get over to the palm beach strip in the evenings.. $7 taxi ride… Embassy suites has free drink tickets every night for happy hour, which is good.. The holiday inn is dated and to tell you the truth, I did not care for the pool.. I would choose the Embassy Suites over Holiday Inn… which ever hotel you choose, you will have a great time. we appreciate you watching and supporting our channel..

Out of all the resorts we stayed at, it was the most comfortable..let me know if you have any questions… and also request a room as far from the big windmill as possible.. weekend party at the club there goes on until 5 am. Make sure to tell them that you saw our video..

We just came back from this resort this afternoon. I can tell you it was a huge disappointment. There were stains on the towels, they smelled musty and were not soft. We had no hot water for showers (we were not the only ones who had this issue and it wasn’t just one building). My sister-in-law had a palmetto bug (roach) in her shower. Took them 3 hours to come remove it. My nephew’s room had dirty pillows. I could go on and on. Some of the staff we interacted with were wonderful and the food was pretty good. Those are the only redeeming things about this place. Will NOT be returning.
I have heard people having similar issues at the Riu Palace.. the resort is starting to show its age even though I know they did renovate some of the rooms.. the staff does try best they can but I know they are severely understaffed… other then the hotel, I hope you had a wonderful time in Aruba
it's going to be our first time in Aruba. How would you compare this restaurant to Gianni's where they have the spaghetti in the cheese at your table? Can this restaurant accommodate a group of 10?
I have heard very mixed reviews about Gianni’s lately. Many people say it is not worth the money… Patrizias is a very large restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.. I have personally seen groups of over 20 eating at one large table…

We did not find it that bad… Yes, the resort is dated and is in need of renovation. We did. It represent the resorts we tour. We make videos to show people what is available … thank you for watching.
is it really all inclusive
There is an all inclusive plan you can get when you book.. you will have restaurants on the property that you can make reservations at to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.. As far as I know the only buffet is at breakfast and it is great! If you are looking for a true All inclusive resort, check out the riu palace or the Riu Antillas hotels.. they are also on Palm beach.. The Barceló is also all inclusive but I have not heard good things about the food..
what was the cost like at barefoot restaurant?
The prices vary from around $12-18 for appetizers and mains between $25-$40 depending on what you want to get.. the prices are very fair for the quality and the location.. Barefoot is a place we visit on every trip to Aruba
Just left Riu Palace Aruba resort and it was horrendous!!! Please take my comments seriously when you read this. I booked a year in advance through a travel agent and when our party arrived they had none of our rooms available. We reserved a junior partial ocean view room with ocean view. They all had issues getting us the reserved rooms . I asked for a handicapped room and my sister and I ended up with a king bed without the shower chair that I requested. I ended up sleeping on a rollaway bed for the first night. The next day, I got a handicapped accessible room over looking a trash dumpster and the handheld shower head holder was broke. The bathroom smelled of heavy urine and a yellow unrobe stain on three floor with blond hair in it. The sheet had stains on it and the throw decorative blanket at the end of the. Ed had blood on it. Needless to say my niece was put in room 248.which had bed bugs. (She has photos) Before I was assigned the pullout bed they check in clerk tried to give me 248 after my niece complained and they knew there was bedbugs in that room. They never treated the room or shut it down. Also, there’s black mold on all the mattresses because they spray them and they’re left damp. The hallway to room 194 smells of sewage. I think they had us near the waste area. There was sooooo many unhappy tourist checking in and having room problems. It was insane. Never again!!!
hello Nick thanks for detailed video. We are planning to visit Aruba with two kids.. can i bring 5 month old infant to this property ? I hardly saw any small kids let alone infants so i am bit concerned. Also does Riu offer airport transfers ? I appreciate your response.
You can definitely bring your 5 month old child to the Riu Palace… you can also ask them for a crib in the room of your want… unfortunately they do not have airport transfers but the taxis are cheap and safe, they are regulated and have set prices to resorts.. just ask the taxis driver the price before you leave. Should be about $30.. let me know if you have any other questions.. We are happy to help

@@acet.4536 the resort is tired. They are in need of renovations and they are understaffed in the restaurants… However the resort is in a great location and you also get to use the Riu Antillas next door.. if you are looking for an all-inclusive resort then it is a good choice..

How late are pools open and are there elevators?
The pools are open until 10 pm but I did see people in the hot tubs later than that. Elevators are available as well… thank you for watching and let me know if you have any other questions.. we are happy to help

Thank you for posting this. We are leaving for Athens next week and our cruise will be stopping in Rhodes. We were wondering if we can do this excursion on our own or have to book with the cruise…?
It is about 45 minutes to drive to Lindos from the port in Rhodes. You can do this on your own, no problem. You will need to rent a car because the taxis would be costly.. taking the tour from the cruise may cost more then if you do it on your own but may take the stress out of finding your own way.. if you do decide to rent a car, make sure to stop off in Lardos village and eat at Patriko restaurant.. best kontosouvli (bbq meat) let me know if you have any other questions
How early do you need to be at the beach to get a cabana? Have you ever ordered food for delivery from Super Foo?
You do have to get the the beach pretty early to get a beach palapa, however that depends on when you go and how busy the resort is.. we have not ordered delivery from Superfoods but we did hear that it is really easy and convenient..
Also to let you know that super foods is a very close walk. Take some reusable bags with you, so it it easy to carry everything back to the resort

There is a pedestrian crosswalk that crosses the road from the Eagle Aruba to the superfood. Aruba drivers are very cautious and courteous and they are never in a rush…
What was the price of drinks.snacks at the gift shop? More or less than super foods?
The prices are higher than the superfoods grocery store. But you pay a little bit more because it is at the resort and you don’t have to cross the street.. we don’t list the prices because they can change at any time.. thank you for watching. Hi Nick, sorry for my late reply. So because I stalled price jumped and breakfast included was higher. So no, we booked Negril, Jamaica instead. All inclusive. We are going to Aruba most likely next year instead. I will probably book early on that. That trip will be no meals, maybe just breakfast

Oh NO, they discovered our secret...food tastes better when your toes are in the sand. Next time you're on the Palm Beach strip area, check out Willem's Dutch Pancakes. In the afternoon and evenings they serve up gourmet burgers. To DIE FOR!

Is the beach public? Can you get a palapa if youre not staying at this hotel?
The beach is public, the hotel is on Palm beach.. the palapas are not owned by the resort but used by the resort guests on the resorts beach loungers. It is a legal grey area that people have been debating..if you just go down the beach a little there is lots of space but you may not have access to a beach palapa as they are not everywhere..

Hmmmm, do you prefer Riu Palace Antillas or Riu Palace?? Antillas room looks more modern. I'm planning vacay for my father who's turning 65 soon, so trying to narrow down something relaxing but still fun.
The Riu Antillas was recently renovated. We prefer the Antillas adults only.. if you want really relaxing and a little more quiet you can always book the villa suites but I don’t believe they have double bed rooms. We also find the food a little better at the Antillas and you don’t have to deal with children splashing in the pool.. you can also check out some of the Divi all inclusive resorts on Aruba, they maybe a little more quiet but they are not on Palm Beach. If you are specifically looking for an all inclusive resort on Palm beach for your father, I believe the Antillas would be our choice.

Did you go to their beach area?
We did not make it to their beach area on Eagle beach during this trip.but we know it is located on eagle beach which we have been to many times… it is usually voted the best beach in the Caribbean..
Aruba has some of the best resteraunts in the Caribbean why would you stay at an all inclusive and restrict yourself from experiencing aruba outside of the resort?
No one is saying you are restricting yourself from leaving the resort and trying the fantastic restaurants of Aruba. Many people prefer All inclusive resorts because they don’t want to worry about leaving the resort. Many families with young children also love all inclusive resorts because children can be picky eaters.. In conclusion many people love All inclusive resorts and others want to leave the resort everyday, we just try to give the information so everyone can make the informed choice on where to stay.. thanks for watching. Are you mentally challenged? Nobody ever said you have stay on the resort the whole time.
Well that is not very nice to say… everyone has a different opinion on how to vacation.. Aruba gives you the option of leaving the resort to eat out and do self guided excursions, however some other islands such as Cuba and some area in Dominican Republic, don’t advise it…

Where is the beach
The Eagle Aruba uses Eagle Beach. It is a short 5-7 minutes walk.. you can go down the road or go through La Cabana resort. It is actually close but not directly on the beach..
How easy was it to get taxis to the strip from the hotel?
