  I would not say that California is bad 😊 yes there are incidents happening around because store theft below some amount there won't be any charges, so people assume that this could be the reason for increased cases around. But again yeah I would not say California as a whole is a bad place to live, because it's very beautiful and nice place to live except for few places majority of the places here are really good.
