    Can you swing us a simple chord progression to try with this technique ? I think these (somewhat) simple mayer techniques fit my skill level well. Let's see tomorrow.. 🌞

  • @hpmguitar
    @hpmguitar21 күн бұрын

    I think with these chord techniques - they are best suited to barre chord or smaller moveable chord triads. So, if you have an understanding of those chord shapes you can start to transpose them around to other keys and chord progressions once you get them comfortable in the positions from the video. I see you've signed up for the trial on the fundamentals program which is a great program for learning/solidifying your skills on the guitar to start playing advanced concepts. I'm planning to do an icon series of courses where I break down iconic players styles and techniques. John mayer and Dave Gilmour where two I had in mind - what do you think?

    Can you create a patch that has the looper intograted with a freeze effect and if so where in that vhsin would the looper be best to place? Id like this for practice and also for transition peices between songs live

  • @hpmguitar
    @hpmguitarАй бұрын

    Hi There, When you freeze effect: do you mean like a kill switch to turn the loop off ? Because if so, you could set up a switch or exp ped on the unit to cut the volume of the loop in between transitions. As for the best position - I'd say starting off with the looper as the last block in the signal chain, would be a good place to start. Hi There, that sounds super frustrating. I've just had a look through the menu's and global settings to see if there was anything relating to your problem - but unfortunately I couldn't find anything. I would contact line 6 support directly as their product support is very good to see if they have any ideas. Failing that I would look to back up your patches, update the firmware and see how that goes as a last resort. I hope that helps a little. Let me know how you go with it. Ryan

  • @hpmguitar
    @hpmguitar3 ай бұрын

    Hi Jimi! thanks for the question. As far as I know without doing some more research: I'm not aware you can use the wah switch to select snapshots. But, I can see what you're going for from a functionality perspective. Try this as a work around and let me know how you go. Set up snapshot 2 with your settings that you want for your wah sound. And make sure that you have the wah switched on in snapshot 2 (either by engaging it on the expression pedal, or using the bypass button on the unit) when you save the settings for the patch. This way - when you go to snapshot 2 you will have your settings all ready for with the touch of a single button. If that doesn't work for you - you will need to adjust some settings behind the scenes in the menu to get it to work. Let me know and I can do a short video for you next week to show you how to adjust things to get this functionality going. Best, Ryan
