  I played djembe drums just to get close to my roots. I am Honduran and love the Garifuna beats i feel is the heart beat of my beloved and much missed country HONDURAS! Yo toco los tambores porque me acercan a mis raices. Soy de Honduras y me encantan los sonidos Garifuna. Tiene el corazon de Honduras en su musica. Les amo mucho bellos!

  It's the garifuna music originated from Belize only. That's the music we refer to as punta. I keep seeing it is music from Brazil.

  I'm from Brazil. That rhythm remember me the carimbó, an afro-indigenous Brazilian rhythm from the Pará state. I love it. I want to dance to my ancestors.

  May God bless my fellow Hispanic Garifuna brothers. Thet are from Central America and they are a mixture of the Native Americans that lived in that area and of west African tribes. A Hispanic is just a ethnicity, not a race. The Garifuna are part of the Centro American society. Thus making them hispanic or Latinos.
