    @@sweatsimple breads are some of the worst carbs you can intake. Unless you are baking it yourself. So many extra ingredients that add to its issues. Also, standard sandwich breads tend to have a glycemic index of 100, which ice cream is 61. This unnecessary spike of your insulin will make it harder for your liver to break down fats.

    I've personally found that for myself & the people I help, the stress of avoiding certain foods is more harmful to our overall health than enjoying everything in moderation. I used to avoid bread about 10 years ago. Now, I eat some form of bread everyday & I can say without a doubt I'm the happiest AND healthiest I've ever been. Lots of foods cause your insulin to spike including protein. It's a natural response & unless you're a diabetic, your body regulates these spikes just fine.

    This Pyramid is wrong. Calorie Deficit is either the very top because it's the goal to achieve fat loss, or it's at the base because it's a hard requirement. In no circumstances should it exist in the middle layers. Now that I think more about it... It should not be in there at all. Calorie Deficit is also literally the same thing as fat loss. So, you have the name of the pyramid as a layer of the Pyramid itself. It makes no sense at all. Maybe try a pie chart and just leave out calorie deficit.

  • @sweatsimple
    @sweatsimple2 ай бұрын

    I understand what you’re saying and 100% a calorie deficit is the ONLY way to lose fat. The point of this video was to show that some people ONLY focus on calories but the things at the bottom of the pyramid will make being in a calorie deficit much easier. If you don’t have the bottom 2 sections of the pyramid down you likely won’t be in a calorie deficit consistently which means you won’t make progress.

  • @Clobercow1
    @Clobercow12 ай бұрын

    @@sweatsimple Then take Calorie deficit out of the pyramid and name the pyramid "caloric deficit" which is synonymous with "fat loss" in this instance.

  • @sweatsimple
    @sweatsimple4 ай бұрын

    100% understand where you're coming from and this is where a lot of people struggle! Here's the thing: it is work & you probably won't want to do it most of the time. But if you have goals you're trying to hit it's important to learn how to show up for yourself even when you don't feel like it. Motivation comes from taking action so in order for this to start feeling "easier" and to have more motivation to do it...you have to start by taking action. I would start small. Tell yourself you just have to cut up some veggies or put chicken in the crockpot. You can watch netflix while you do it or listen to a favorite podcast! But sometimes it's about showing up anyways even when it feels hard.

You will have a more restaurant style if you make your own sauce by just buying a can of San Marzano tomatoes and crushing them up by hand in a bowl, add a little sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, splash of olive oil.
