    No way is that place acceptable! No night stands or lamps. No TV. Just an empty room with a bed. The kitchen. What a joke. No hot water kettle or microwave. Whatever you paid for this unfurnished hotel room was too much. The owners are NOT prepared for guests and should not be open.

    Timestamps! : In this video, we're going to take a look at an affordable apartment in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The apartment is located near a lot of restaurants and shops, and it's also close to the Angkor Wat temple complex. It's also fully furnished, so you just need to bring your luggage and move in. (00:15 - 01:00) The apartment has one bedroom, one bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room. The bedroom has a double bed, and the bathroom has a shower. The kitchen has a fridge, a sink, and a stovetop. The living room has a sofa and a TV. Everybody has different needs. We spent a lot of time at one of the cafés where they have air-conditioning during the day and we use their Wi-Fi for free and also gets this out of our room Linda and I are digital nomads too though we appreciate a small space in Cambodia because electricity is so expensive. There is no central air in Cambodia so each room has its own air con. Standard at every home and apartment. We have many more apartment reviews coming soon so hopefully you will find one that works for you. We run aircon at night to sleep only . Standard rates are 25 cent per kilowatt hour here for context . Thanks for watching our videos. We appreciate you.🙏🏼

    Haha. You promised your next video would be a good one and you didn't disappoint. Can you just clarify if all the rooms that are 150 have a bedroom or if some of them are studios? Also, in future videos when doing these kind of tours would you be able to a tell us the rough square footage of the units if you can get that information? It would be helpful to compare across the different properties. And I'm sure you know but when you're listening with headphones it still goes in and out of coming through just one earpiece or both at times. No biggie but it would be a slight improvement. Finally, just want to say thank you so much because this is helping me solidify my plan to move over there 10 months from now. It will actually be feasible for me. Edit: I'm locked in at a great price here of $1180 a month with small rent controlled increases but I'd be living on less than that over there. Amazing!

  • @mahoneytravels
    @mahoneytravels18 күн бұрын

    Thank you. Linda and I appreciate you. As an American I would consider these studios at the 150 price. Rough guess are 650 to 750 sq ft. They did have a bedroom door on the 2 bedroom however It was rented at time of filming. As far as sq ft I have yet to see anyone in Cambodia know this including our own apartment.😂 I would say perfect size for single guy or gal or a couple. The ground floor studios have private patio great for grilling food. We are still working out the audio issues 🙏 Thanks for the feed back.

    There's a large multi stage development near the Makro Market called Tourism City. It looks like it was a big development hit hard by covid, a big Hotel was being built there that doesn't seem to be finished. ( I did photo interpretation in the military so I notice things possibly many miss in aerial images) Anyway it is a massive development that looks like it has an interesting story and has full town houses at moderate rates, but I haven't seen any vids on the place.
