Oh my goodness the tone of this piano, from the very first notes -- gorgeous in itself. Definitely a "gold piano". Of course an artist of Argerich's calibre deserves nothing less than a heavenly instrument like this one.

when I had my thyroid cancer surgery, I asked my surgeon to play the 3rd movement during the operation, in case I die on the table, the last thing I hear would be this piece of music

この演奏に匹敵するライブって少ないのでは。メカニカルな個性と明るいスタンウェイが眩しい太陽のようで、濁らせないペダリングも見事で迷いのない真っ直ぐなベートーベン。 録音なら、ギレリスの暖かくて骨太い重量演奏も好きです。もう皆いないので寂しい。
