Hey can u use your boat and search summer wells in a barrel mb
What type of wood for 2x3s
Great video! Do you ever find that the 7 strand wire kinks after a few fish?
looks a lot like a hedgehog lol
Very creative. Nice narrative instructions!!
10 minutes for a fly that ties up fast? Giggle.
Hi, Where can I find the black larva Lance? Marvelous stonefly!!!
Thanks! I think Larva Lace might be out of business, but i would suggest black stretch tubbing or vinyl D-Rib matierial. Both of which can be purchased from Hareline.
I remember when I was young and eager and would go trout fishing in weather like this. Some of my best fishing in Virginia and then Colorado was on days like this. Now I'm old and I won't go fishing unless it's a beautiful day because now it's not about catching a lot of fish. It's about enjoying the experience.
I just had me some supper of 2 small potatoes fried, then a 17 inch rainbow trout, had to cut the body in half cause it was so big for my pan. Absolutely stuffed. I thank the Lord!!! Thank you lord that I was able to catch and keep such an amazing rainbow trout to eat right here in east TN. Amen.
Really nice fly! Well done.
Has anyone tied in a larger sizes for striped bass?
does this catch fish though
Of course! Lol
Oh my gosh! You did amazing on that kudos to you👍
If you’re thinking of decking an aluminum boat don’t use wood, pay a little more and use aluminum with rivets. After a while wood will eventually get saturated with water, swell, warp and rot. Aluminum will be lighter and last forever.
While i do agree with this, at the time did not have the ability or the money to build with aluminum. I've had this boat for 8 years now and the Deck is still in great shape! well worth the time and effort. If wood is what you have avilible, i'd still encorage folks to do the build.
Gotta love fly tyers dungeon!! Great use of the materials man.....cool video!
Try adding rear legs
I always had a thing for rat lures soft hard flies but what appeals to me most is the music it put you in a whole mother dimension who is the group would like to know!! chow!!

Majstorski uradjeno, ali da li je lovan ovaj strimer?????
Very nice!
Wow that white nature is one of a kind beauty
Great looking tie. Would be really helpful if you could add a material list in addition to the key moments vids. Nice to be able to shoot a picture of the materials with my phone to have everything together for ordering materials and during the tying process. Thanks for sharing.
just take some notes during the video. super simple.
@@icefisher1171 I'm pretty sure you're just trying to make a fool of me, but in the event that you are actually trying to be helpful, it is a nice way to store information about a fly if the material list is there. You take one photo of the finished fly and right next to it a picture of the material list which most times shows the name of the fly as well. Everything right together in a clean concise package all stored on your cellular phone for whenever and wherever you need it. It took a whole lot longer for him to type out every one of his sponsors than it would to be helpful to his subscribers and would probably get many more subscribers than his sponsor list. The thumbnails are a nice touch but take much longer to do than a simple list. Also, I don't know anyone who sits in front of their computer to tie. He is a very talented tier and I would very much like to see him succeed at his endeavor.
@@rrranrom3636 Lol. So writing down a list is what, too much work? And that if he doesn't make a list for everyone, he won't succeed? Many many people who tie keep notebooks of the patterns as a reference. Who wants to sit down and watch their phone whilst tying? Battery goes bad, you're screwed. Phone breaks or quits working, you're screwed. Take some handwritten notes, and they're forever. Keep the notebooks in a drawer in your tying desk and boom, always there. As far as TRYING to make a fool of anyone? Lol. Not my thing. Mostly I find that people do well enough on their own. Peace.
I used flat braide in gold and root beer by hair line.for the body, nice. I did 4 of them . Thanx for the pattern.
Great wing pattern! Love it
try putting that wing material in between two pieces of clear packing tape then put those between a pice of parchment paper then gently rub with an iron and it will make them sturdy enough to shape and they wont come apart.
Appreciate the suggestion. I’ll have to try that!
Excellent tutorial! Thanks for sharing. 🤙🏻
Where’s this located there’s no where I know of to go into the south Holsten river it’s too deep
Use google earth and maps. Thank me later, pal.
When they arent generating, most of the river is very wadable. If they are generating, that is a different story.
Thanks for sharing, do you think that you could use marabou instead of deer hair?
For sure! Palmered Marabou would look great.
Thanks for sharing. I really like the fly.
Is the beaver creek Troutdale?
Nope
Good catch on a mostly difficult, pressured stream.
I’ve been wanting to come fly fish this place for brookies. Live in Charleston so it’s a hike, but doesn’t matter to me!
nice setup. I'm gonna get a 2013 tracker guide v14 this comin weekend and will eventually do some sort of front castin deck as well. these little aluminum rigs are so customizable its great. I have had Boston Whalers, really nice ones but i'm goin back to a simple tin boat with a 9.9.
Can I find someone to do it for me and what would be the cost
Appreciate your well delivered content here. tyvm
very nice
tie it in smaller sizes and it really catches panfish and brook trout in those small to tiny creeks as well
Good job ! Bead-chain eyes work too....you can paint them bright red or gold.
Hi there! After helicoptering the wire the thread gets frayed on the end of the wire as I go to finish the tie. Any advice? It basically catches and separates the fibers on the thread and makes the ship finish ugly, impossible or both!
This is an awesome idea
One of the better versions of that fly. Nice!
That looks real slick man! I just bought a 14ft as well. Now I have some great ideas. Thanks for posting 👍
