I use this KZread channel to post some of my experiences from living and traveling abroad. There's no particular theme, per se, besides "This is what I'm doing and this is what I've done." I agree!
I randomly got that video in my recs while I was chilling in my backyard eating natural seaweed chips! (recomend them 100%) Wish everyday of yours be a very nice day!
The word of the day is "chilling"!
Traduci in inglese
"Solo gli americani"? Sei mai stato in altri paesi? Parli solo italiano or parli anche altre lingue? Sei perfetto?
Because the rest is just artificial flavour ?
Thank you for your comment! I'm not sure what you're getting at, though. :-)
So? Never see a plane?
We're going to be there in a few days. How are things in Batroun? Lot of people? Are people pretty calm in spite of what is happening in other parts of the country? Is everyone just using American dollars? Thanks for your feedback!
All over Lebanon you can pay with USD or Lebanese Pounds. My best advice for you is to bring plenty of cash because you won't be able to get any at ATMs and you cannot rely on getting to use electronic cash (Google Wallet, Apple Pay, etc). When we were in Batroun, there were basically zero (very few) foreign tourists but lots of Lebanese tourists. You won't have a clue that anything is going on (the war) since almost all of that is only down south. Batroun, for the most part, looks and feels very western and is extremely safe!
Also, even if you pay in USD, you might get some change in Lebanese Pounds and some prices are in USD whereas others are in Lebanese Pounds, but you can always use either currency.
@@mountyama thanks for the info! Wasn't sure at all what to expect but this helps given the situation with the skirmishes and the economy. Last time I was there was 2017. As for foreign tourists, I've gone to Lebanon in years past and it seems most tourists are actually expat Lebanese and their families (include me in that bunch, I'm 1st gen American). But each visit I did notice a few Europeans here and there. Also appreciate the advice on using $$ there!
The locals certainly say that the economy of the country as a whole is in bad shape, but Batroun seems to be alive and well. 😎
I have more
Thanks for eating one fresh, lol. That's what I would have done😂
كل مدينة في المغرب لها طابعها الخاص ❤❤❤
They're a minimum wage worker who just wants to end their shift, close up, and go home. They cant do that while you linger around five minutes before the store closes. This signals you its time to go, and saves them one more step. Its not that deep, bro.
I appreciate the comment! I understand that the workers might not make a lot of money, but that's really not an excuse for closing early. I was at another location of the same supermarket today and at about 15 minutes to closing they were not even letting people in, turning the lights off, and telling customers (including me) that they were closed (not closing). That's not how to do business.
Any help?!
Stop showing off dude..!!! No need to point out the faults in our stars.
I'm not sure what you mean. 🙂
Doesnt everybody by now know cause of lionfield
I guess I've been living in a cave because I don't get your Lionfield reference. However, I've known for many, many years that you can also get beer at McDonald's in Germany. 🙂
And it’s less than a dollar more than the pop 😂
That's awesome, commenting from JHB, South Africa 🌍 we got nothing like that here. @McDonalds make some changes here man
They need to get with the program down there! 🙂
Ye. It's common for many countries in Europe to have beer at Mc / KFC
all fast foods have beer in spain🤣🤣🤣💪🏼
Can you review the flavor?? I’m from America and that looks pretty good lol
That is me eating it. :-) kzread.infoWb1MjE7NVfw
Aqaba Highway
Looks like the area between UAE and Oman.
0:23 European standard road sings (parking and no parking) but yellow shoulder line on the road
Obviously it's not but reminds me of Westbound Interstate 80 just before the Carlin Tunnel in Nevada USA.
saudia
I am sure it is Oman
No signs are needed, the old KIA Sephia ahead of you gave it away 😂 Enjoy your travels in Jordan!
Ain't nothing better then windows down and ac on
😂😂😂😂
Do you need help?
Everything is fine, thanks. That was last night. :-)
I would like to try that
I hope you find it where you are!
Ok As a marocain am very interested to know how much did they charge you for the tea😅
Hi there! Thanks for the comment. One glass cost 3 dh, which seems very reasonable. I've also gotten glasses of mint tea elsewhere for the same price, although I've also paid 5 dh. Is 3 dh a good price for the tea in this video?
@@mountyama yeah you could even say that it's cheap for 3dh normally some of those stands over charge people roo much
Haha getting there! He honestly sounds like he’s trolling when he says it but I think he’s genuinely a good guy.
Indeed! Just having some fun! :-)
Fail bro! It’s his signature “oh wowwww” haha
I need to work on it!
@@mountyama Haha!
I just posted another attempt using your advice. LOL Still not a 10/10, however, so I need to keep practicing. :-)
ياالله✨
Mon dieu quel manque de propreté
That's just how it is in many countries. :-)
Bastilla paper
I changed "sheets" to "paper." Thank you!
😮😮
❤❤❤
We need to hike together again someday!
@@mountyama It must be. Traveling with a traveler like you is a wonderful experience.❤
Alastor apareció 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Apolloyenme la los q creen en dios
Yeah you’re not gonna find a lot of that in lidl. Try jumbo, continente or mercadona
Tried a Continente today but still no luck. :-)
first world problems
I know, right?
The US has the world's most ridiculous coins, & bills that all look the same. So what's he complained about?
I don't know if US coins are all that ridiculous, but the bills are indeed all the same size and color, which is practically unheard of in other countries.
Stop complaining
Sounds like you are complaining about me complaining. Hahahahaha!
@@mountyama yes, Americans always complain
All 330 million? Where are you from, by the way?
@@mountyama every american you see anywhere is always saying the US is better and complaining because there's no XXL McDonald's in Paris
That's certainly a reach. I'm from the US and I think there are many problems in the US, which is a big reason I'm traveling around the world. I have no idea where all your negativity toward Americans comes from but it's a shame.
Get a coin bag 🤷♂️
I have a coin purse and it's bulging from all the coins. Hahahahaha Normally, I use digital cash whenever possible, but occasionally you have to pay in cash/coins because cards are not accepted.
@@mountyama yeahhh, but you can always change them in at the bank when you have enough, get a little piggy bank, every time you pass you get rid of all the small currency you don't need, you can keep most of it at home anyways 🤷♂️, in a bowl or something by the entrance, you need 2 euros for a bus? Got it. Need 6 bucks for a haircut? Got it
For the most part, I agree with you, but since I'm traveling a lot it's hard to take along a piggy bank. :-)
I like coins, i always rattle them in my pocket lol. Also easier for me to get something small like an ice cream, soda, waffle or coffee. No need to reach for a wallet. Plus, with all the card skimmers out there i just like to use cash coins for safety in dodgy places like night stores and vending machines. No way am i scanning or inserting anything in those things.
Thank you for the comment. I'm pretty sure there are far fewer issues with card skimmers in Europe than in the US. And here they have 8 standard issue coins, whereas in the US there are only 4 (not counting 50-cent pieces or silver dollars).
Or just pay with a debit card like a civilized person.
I think civilized people use credit cards. LOL I mostly do use electronic cash, but sometimes you can't and this is what happens.
Stay away then.
Hahahahaha
