@@joangarcia-alsina2932

Esther was not 'discovered by MGM talent scouts' but by Billy Rose, the impresario and club owner. He signed her for the Aquacades of 1939 in San Francisco after the 1940 Olympics were called off. Afterwards she married and began training as a fashion buyer. MGM had to beg her to sign a contract, and she insisted on two years' coaching in acting and singing before her first star role in 'Bathing Beauty'. She had no theatrical or musical experience, not even at school- she was all sports. Never was a great name born more reluctantly, and nobody ever challenged her. Sonia Henie had desperately wanted to be a star, and had a couple of minor rivals. But Esther, whose box office eventually outpaced that of Henie and every other lady except Betty Grable, was on her own. No rival studio could find a performer with the courage, persistence or choreographic intelligence to carve a slice of Esther's pie.

Why am I watching this in 2024-
Lindo lindo lindo filmes da Esther Williams maravilhosa atriz grande nadadora rainha das piscina linda Sereia.
Getting ready to go away for 48 hours and this popped into my head immediately.
So fetch
