Why was 'Please Don't Keep Me Waiting" removed from this performance. Olivia sang it just before "Changes" and it is the only live performance of it I can find. The significance is the last minute or so is for Olivia to show off her incredible vocal range. Someone removed it from this concert video? Why?

On June 4, 1977, I saw this concert in Providence, RI, at the then-Civic Center. This was just before "Grease" and the "Totally Hot." She was promoting her latest single, which hadn't even been released yet: "Making a Good Thing Better." She also sang "Coolin' Down," a track from the not-yet-released album, "Making ... Better." She sang "Changes," as she did in this Amsterdam concert. She would sing "Newborn Babe" instead of "Changes" in other venues. To introduce the song "Changes," she had stagehands place two stools next to each other. She sat in one, and then introduced Rick Ruskin as her acoustic guitar accompanist. Olivia was so defacing, which was a huge part of her charm. She said to the audience, "I wrote this song because it touches so many. It's called 'Changes.'" And just as Ruskin is about to play the guitar, Olivia points at Ruskin, and suddenly says: "And if you don't like it, HE wrote it."

Grew up during this era, never liked Olivia, felt she could not sing, she was no Annie Wilson or Karen Carpenter. Now in my late 60's I see Olivia very differently. However always loved this song. Never have (never will) see what films she was in, Revolta is a Satanist and makes me sick. Hope sometime in her life, Olivia gave her heart to Jesus Christ as Lord!
