Thanks a lot. I have a Whiting door, but the procedures are very similar and I could figure out what I needed.
Made sense

will it corrode out after a season in Wisconsin?

Very good
Helpful👍Especially appreciate how it’s filmed & narrated in a fashion that takes me back 25yrs before I was born.
This system is so much worse than the double spring whiting system - don’t buy it
Is there a huge amount of kickback once the set screws are loosened (so the spring can be reset)? I know the bars need to be holding the spring, but I've heard countless people talk about how crazy those springs unwind.
yes, this is why you use the 1/2“ winding bars to unwind the spring too
Thanks!!! That was very helpful
Great video. Easy explanation and safety procedures thank you all
Been fighting with a larger version of this system on another trailer. Thankfully the steps worked with some adjustments. I just wanted to say thank you for the video!
I can't find Todco rivets with part number 89299.4 what else would work? I think I have a weathertite. Truck is a 2019
I a a singer. Ans I have a Foodtruck. I really love your idea of having a stage on the truck. I am thinking of building another truck with a stage soon ❤️
Thank you for the video I’ve been stuck inside a trailer for 5 hours 🚚
I'll give you advice to make it easier.. just make sure whatever truck you get has a Whiting Door. A lot easier.
Care to explain??
Damn this is exactly what i needed when my box trucks door gave out while delivering bread at 4am 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ freaken door is heavier than I thought by opening the door manually
When you say turns is it a complete rotation or is it steps with the bar?
That one you put on a couple weeks ago
Two thumbs up! The winding bar on mine has holes for a 3/8" bar, I used 3/4" 18" bars and welded a 3/8" x1" longbar to the ends.

Thanks for this video! Saved me hundreds of $$
Who ever designed these doors needs to be shot and pissed on
If you locate that sob ,I'll do both!
I am quite stumped now,not because of your video, but because....I have to do my Enclosed Trailor today because previous owner took cables off. its the type of door that opens all the way down to the ground & serves as a Ramp also, kinda like what Lawn companies use. ............ Your video says make sure door is in Closed position ...... since My door opens top out to the ground should my door be CLOSED? or Open? to start the procedure? It looks IDENTICLE to the trailor in the video over to the right in the list thats titled " the dreaded ramp repair trailor trash" ... Should the door be layed open to start , or closed to start ?
You do it with the ramp down. it is the same concept. You want the wires extended while adjusting to prevent the coil from binding
I have an enclosed trailer where the door is a ramp also . I have two springs do i adjust them one at a time and should the door be down for this also .there also seems to be tension on the roolers when I attach the wires to the door.
Great video. Turns out I have the exact same model shown in this video. I'm about to get to it. Feel much more confident now.
excellentuse the bottle jack on the botom, hold everrything in place and then size your shims. Pack the bearing!!!!! great video once again...
