RUNNING BroSCIENTIST

Hi, welcome to my Channel. As a Health and Fitness enthusiast I have the rare opportunity to upload videos of Elite Professional Athletes training & preparing for major races and competition just a few days before the start gun.
On this channel you can watch videos of Athletes putting in the final touches to their preparations for The London Marathon, Athletics World Championships, Half Marathons & various other races. I also have an interesting channel within a channel growing with every video upload called CHASING ELIUD KIPCHOGE, check it out in my Playlists or watch any of the other topics ,from Health Tips to a Cardio & Running Program for Beginners/ Intermediate runners. I have also uploaded a nice little Documentary/ Vlog called THE FOX & THE TRACK filmed over one & a half years, check it out in my Playlists. Lastly for the doubters please watch my STRENGTH TRAINING TIPS & ADVICE for Vegans backed up with Health Tips and Advice.
Bless, take care

    Such a nice guy 1982 was his great year that sun 3:50 mile that 3000m Run & this Effort this night he was unbeatable! I used to watch him come to NZ & race the Local Hero John Walker he was always nice to all the kids like me etc even if JW had beaten him ! I just wish he had been at his best in those 1984 Olympics the 5000m but we can’t have it all no one ever has a bad word about this man & so underrated because of Ovett Coe & Cram

    Wendy Sly - #151 white uniform? Mary Decker - #373 red uniform? Maricica Puica- #316 Yellow top, blue bottom It's hard for me to say from watching this how much the fault was Mary Decker's or Wendy Sly's. Did Sly pull over in front of Decker causing the collision? With automobiles, in my country (the U.S.) if you pull across in front of someone, then a rear-end collision *can* be the fault of the car in front. But I don't know the rules of track.

    Mary Decker was the greatest female middle distance runner American ever produced. You people may not know it but the Eastern Europeans, were the Kenyan/Ethiopian distance runners of that day in terms of dominance, and Mary torched them in this first ever World Championship race.

  • @simmorg290
    @simmorg29028 күн бұрын

    When you run your leg goes behind your torso and also goes in front of your torso. So the legs of two runners can overlap even though one torso is in front of the other one. Budd didn't allow enough room to cut in front of Decker and Wendy Sly and the commentator said so in the video. The responsibility is on the runner overtaking to leave enough room to cut in front. Budd didn't do this.

    Just to add a little context, he ran his steeple record during a dual meet with the University of Washington at the UW's Husky Stadium. It was a windy and rainy day (of course -- it's Seattle, after all), and the stands were nearly empty. Despite the conditions, Hank lopped a full 2.6 seconds off the previous record in what was, of course, a completely solo effort. Second place was 8:36.

    Decker seemed to be trying to get Budd to move out of her way, which is poor sportsmanship to begin with. She kept tracking Zola's heels. It's amazing that Budd kept her balance when Decker collided with her. It's sad that it ended that way, but Zola is not responsible for what happened.
