Wikipedia: Anachronisme. Een anachronisme is iets dat niet helemaal (meer) in de beschreven tijd past. Of, preciezer geformuleerd: een al dan niet gewilde inbreuk op of breuk in de chronologische samenhang van de beschreven toestanden of gebeurtenissen.

Vermont became a US State in 1791, but it existed before that date (it had to in order to even apply for statehood). At the start of the American Revolution, what became Vermont was disputed territory between NY, NH, and Quebec. The more numerous settlers from the NH claim organized and originally fought in the British side at the start of the war. In 1777, they organized themselves into an independent political entity first called the Republic of New Connecticut, later changed to Vermont. They joined the war on the side of the American Revolutionaries, but were not able to be admitted as a state until NY gave up its claim to Vermont in 1790.

Good explanation and thank you. However, the question is are these populist leaders going to deliver for the left behind or they are just seizing an opportunity of populism that resonate with their voters to get the maximum vote, get to power then benefit the rich? Their policies are called the policies of blaming others for all the problems in society and they keep doing it for as long as they are power to distract their voters but deliver hardly anything for them. Le Pen, Trump and Orban are very rich. Melonie has been caught lowering taxes for the super rich. I am afraid I trust no politician. I have to refrain from using my emotions but rationality.

Here in Brazil it's the opposite, the more educated a person is,the more they trend to vote for the right, also cities are more likely to vote for the right than the left(even tho its no black and white like the USA),For exemple, the City of Manaus,a city in the middle of the amazon, voted overwhelmingly for the Right-wing former president Jair Bolsonaro,Backed by Trump, while the small towns around it voted overwhelmingly for the Left-wing president Lula da Silva.

It's much simpler than that my friend. Those who have a hyper-emotional personality type that hinges their beliefs and their actions off their feelings first almost always are liberals in vote Democrat and those who have great control over their emotions and their impulses and are logically thinking first and foremost end up being on the conservative end of the spectrum and as a result end up voting Republican. Of course there is a crossover into each end of that meridian of the y-axis that teeters across liberalism and conservatism but that is the overall rule.

You start out by assuming that the low birth rates are a problem. Wrong. Europe survived and prospered with much lower populations for thousands of years while developing Western Culture, which is the envy of the rest of the world. And, the one thing that all third world countries have in common is a high birth rate. As for your problem with not having enough workers to support pensioners, That is a problem that has to be solved by encouraging people to save up for their retirement funds and live off those savings. Or just work longer.

Society as a whole would be worse off. Nordic countries have higher fertility rates because they provide people with free childcare, long parental leaves, etc. What has the US done to improve birth rates? nothing successful. "No politician has the guts to do that" 🤣 European countries are democracies and absolutely nobody would vote in favor of removing the pension system.
