    the best benefits is not to over use, I tried to use it on my hair a couple times a week I personally didn't need it that much. But to detangle and leave on 30 minutes before my wash my hair seems to like that. Best wishes and thanks for watching

    Thank you for doing this topic . There has been so much going back and forth on the oils on your hair as you stated at the beginning of your presentation, now that I know there can be a benefit using the correct oils , it`s time to try it out. 😊

    Please don't use essential oils undiluted (neat)... you could cause burns to your skin. If using e.o.'s add them to a carrier oil like coconut, olive, jojoba, or castor and not more than 2%

    Thanks for great advice. I had issues with hair then shortly after psoriasis. It was devastating. Consultation w a dermatologist and a trichologist. I found out i did have medical issues and my hormones were thur the roof. With care and treatment. My hair is doing well. My psoriasis is gone ( hoping to stay in remission.) My hair is now relaxed low manipulation. The only thing for me is a lot products natural or otherwise i am allergic to Aloe vera, vit.E, and quite a few others. People tend to forget about allergies. So important to know if a reaction is topical or systematic.

    Thank you for sharing as well I’m glad that you were able to able to resolve your hair and scalp concerns. Many people are allergic to plant based products and essential oils. Hormones unbalanced cause several issues that’s why it’s important to get annual checkups and blood work to rule out any underlying issues. Stay tune for more videos and freebies coming soon.

    Two-strand twists are so much better for my natural hair, personally. I love braids but after wearing them back-to-back last summer, my hair became so thin and weak. A trip to the dermatologist revealed that I had alopecia. I'm not saying the braids caused it, but they certainly did not help. The doctor advised me to not wear braids and to never use synthetic braiding hair because not only are the chemicals in that hair toxic, but she said some of that hair contains fiberglass! She put me on a regiment of prescribed hair oil drops and Nutrafol which did stop the hair loss, however, some spots are permanent. If you see any bald spots, go see a dermatologist before it's too late!

    Love the two strand twist. I’m glad you were able to restore your hair. As a Trichologist I help women like yourself restore their hair. Therefore I am very cautious in choosing non-toxic products in my salon and clinic. And your right the synthetic hair are not created equal. Best wishes to your continued healthy hair journey

    I can't wear any braids at all no matter how loose. My daughter braided my hair to try a simply crochet to cover my thinning, and my scalp hurt so bad then I started feeling bumps and scabs. Took out. I just can't do them anymore. loose flat twists.

    I see your white coat. Are trichologists on the same level as a doctor? Do you work under the supervision of a dermatologist? Can you bill health insurance for your services?

  • @XplicitHairStudioSanDiego
    @XplicitHairStudioSanDiegoАй бұрын

    We’re Not on the level of medical Physician. But we are in the science of hair. Using Trichoscope to look at the health follicles and scalp disorders. We are considered Para-medical because we can identify various of alopecia’s and scalp disorders but can not diagnose people I sent them to a physical and they confirm after I’ve done the leg work. I holistically address issues also using my 30 years of experience of caring for hair and scalp. But if serious underlying conditions are present the physician is involved for prescriptions. I work closely with dermatologist, read blood work and to help slow down the progression of hairloss, help retain existing hair. As well as help with scalp disorders. It’s a great field the next level bridging cosmetologist to trichologist to dermatologist. I love reading medical journals and studying the science of why. Hope this helps

    I love braids and it’s so sad because I had to say goodbye to them many years ago 😢 they look SO flattering but they are too heavy on my hair . Even when she used thin pieces for feed in box braids 😢 it rips my hair out from the roots . The pomade made by a lot of these oriental vendors have toxic ingredients . They are not healthy for the scalp at all

    Oh wow you do? Hummm I am a 30 yr Master Cosmetologist and a hairloss specialist. It wasn’t an excessive amount however it was more shed hair than I am an accustom too. Me nor my clients lose that amount in a week for sure. I don’t lose that amount in a month. My biggest concern was inflamed scalp and the area of loss where the braids affected my hair. Thanks for your reply

    I loved my small knotless braids but had some pretty intense itching and burning from the braiding hair. I had to dunk my head in vinegar water for at least three ten minute sessions. Then later it was only when I wet my hair in the shower and sprayed undiluted vinegar on my hair and scalp did I get complete relief. A doctor on YTB said the synthetic hair it toxic.

    The braid styles are lovely but not at the risk of developing a scalp disorder or hair loss.Wow that amount of itching you experienced definitely an allergic reaction I hope your scalp is better now. I did the organic apple cider rinse too once I returned from my vacation. But My scalp continued itching so that night I took them out detox my scalp, shampoo and did blue light therapy. My scalp is starting to feel better.The hair processing is a whole another story that needs uncovering. Best wishes, Take care

    I think the point she may be making is that it is for her in comparison to the 4 weeks of maintenance without the braids. she may not have lost much hair without the tension that braiding styles produce. In my experience these braiders do and use what they relentlessly want to do and use by way of cheap, underperforming products. They're about the money which is why they will provoke overbraiding and too many braids in a style. They really do not need to be excessive for the money.

    Hey Ms.D. So, are you using this method as a detangler, or to rehydrate? Is this the same as the loc method? My hair and Jordyns hair have both been very dry and i've tried the loc method, but it isn't working well for either of us. Heeeeeeeeelllp.
