Everything is perfect and happening automatically, why do we think it's not? This channel sets out to prove that thesis using Sailing, Photography, Videography, Music, Art and Science, and is the Philosophy of Perfection, outlined by the Author, that Great Cod in the Sky responsible for all of this turmoil on Planet Earth. Enjoy.

Let me guess....you were rendered speechless by the improvement in ride quality?
Its 2024,me watching this on a T430 running linux mint, on my other desk is a T400 running lubuntu with joystick for playing retrogames.
Hi sir, is it still relevant in this time? I'm planning to do some basic ssd upgrade
Yes, it's a great little laptop for reading the internet in bed, what I use it for, and as a travel light and strong computer. Very well built.
I wonder if you could help me out by measuring the shaft diameter. I plan to buy this motor, but I'm not sure if it will fit through the hole in my kayak and I can't seem to find that measurement.
Why Ukrain is so often stressed on ? There is no such a country until 1991. So, everything was produced in the USSR, it is not of interest where the the Russian government decides to settle its factory. Otherwise, really great videos ! Thank you.

Love to you too :)
I love sea love sailing, from 🇮🇶 ❤🎉
Great video Adam, she sailed really well! St. Just looks like a beautiful place, hope to see you back in Port Penrhyn some day, best of luck, Paul and Brian
Thanks for both of you keeping a watch and helping with the wind indicator
Great video Adam. Glad all went to plan and that you arrived safely. Falmouth currently full of classic yachts :-) 😀
@@timpenaluna Thanks, Tim
Looking forward to seeing your season as always
The old thinkpad are gold. I love them so much, I need to get a S201 or a X230.
Hi hope your well my frend great content
Good morning Adam, first of compliments for your video, simple and clear. I have the same Tiller pilot on the boat I bought 2 years ago. Now I'm having some electrical problems and my paper manual unfortunately is completely unusable. I have a question, I see at the beginning you have the manual into you computer. Could you be so kind to give me the link where I can find it? I'm really struggling to find it. It would be much appreciated. Thanks
I had a look on my computer - I don't have it. I tried a search for AH800.pdf and came up with a site at the top of the list. You could try that. I managed to see an exploded view for free. Mine stopped working - needs a repair job. In the meantime I just tie the helm in place and adjust the sails. All the best, Adam.
@@saraofnorthwales Thanks Adam, I'll find it somewhere. All the best, Bruno
Weak audio
Thanks for that. I pushed up the camera audio level one stop and moved it a bit closer. If I make it too high it distorts, which is also a problem :) I am uploading a new video right now, it should be better.
The audio is fine.@@saraofnorthwales
Отличный обзор винтажной цифровой камеры. М большим удовольствием посмотрел этот выпуск с Вашим мнением о данной Konica minolta a200
You will own nothing soon says Klaus. The aim is to rent everything, but there won't be much choice. It will probably be our fault for having all this stuff, but its they who dreamt up the system. We would have been happy on our small holdings but the weather was crap and folk got hungry and there was this Factory down the road that made shirts. Your job relied on folk owning a few shirts. Klaus says we'll only be allowed three items of clothing per year, so one factory might do for the globe. I'm presuming the choice will be blue. They changed the banking laws some time ago. Now if a bank crashes your house and your money isn't yours any more, we will have no personal rights to anything not even our body, or any national rights. Lloyds bank expects to be the countries second biggest Landlord soon. Klaus says there will be food shortages soon, and 50% will unemployed. The banks are already in a bad state after the Plandemic. It will only take "an event" to fold them. Selling our Gold off cheap was all part of the long term plan.
Unfortunately with RFK there's a major issue. His historical voting record let's him down. His rhetoric has changed as he got risk adverse once his campaign donor's gave him his script. But! Given the choice between the other two. America needs a third choice. Its obvious that America is on a precipice of disaster. Both Diplomatically on the world stage and Finacially on the world markets. Governments around the world are shorting on americas debt bonds. It's going to be chaos.
nothing new old boy i am 49 and learned all about planned obsolescence when i was 13 years of age fix fix fix thats what my grandfather did and that is what i still do.
im fussy about me shoes - I always buy best leather - hand stitched - like Loake - last for 10 plus years once you look after them - same with watch - always good quality automatic - and cameras - I still enjoy my old Minolta 6MP camera - going like a Swiss clock - greetings from Ireland
And you too :)
In the 1990s, Olympus produced their ZLR (zoom lens reflex) cameras, the IS line, with built in zoom lenses using the metal focal plane shutter. Unlike their slrs, the ZLRs were made in China.
I have one of these called the Olympus E10. It is a remarkable camera for it's age. It uses a split prism concept so has no mirror I believe, though I am open to correction as I am going from memory. I am hoping to do a series of videos based around this camera in the future. It has a very wide aperture compared to my other cameras, and a good quality lens. It's 4 megapixels is quite usable.
I just bought a X201 in part because of this video, I had a T430s before and now I'm craving a classic Thinkpad
Im thinking I'm settling into the idea of an electric hybrid trawler. I saved an old sailboat hull that was headed for a dump. It would never be a sailboat again but it ccan be a displacement mini tug or trawler. I will have my solar to keep my lithium charged up, but the 2000watt generator will be for longer stretches and when the batteries need to be topped up. Wish i could rely 100% on solar but it wont work for me 100% of the time. I built a smaller 100% electric that works great. The larger boat will be for longer trips and longer stays. I will use the smaller boat as the dingy, and it is extremely efficient. I have gone 30 miles in the small boat. The hybrid idea is also about your point of going thru channels or current. The motors I use are 24v motors that I use at max 50amps. On my smaller one, I go 6kts in my smaller displacement boat. I have a slightly more powerful 60amp version i intend to use on the big boat.
Hi Adam, this weekend I installed solar power on my inflatable dinghy. A 50watt panel that can live on the dinghy and either connect to the battery system on the dinghy, or directly to the main boat with the dinghy tied to the back. The panel can also transfer to the back rail and doubles as an outboard carrier rain protector. I have both electric and conventional outboards on both the dinghy and the main boat. Last year I found that without a solar panel, I just did not quite have enough power in the dinghy for longish runs. As I normally go dock and shop on land a bit, the sun can keep it topped up a bit, and it's also charging when tied up. I'm not completely sold on electric for the main boat, though I have not taken it off. I definitely like it on the dinghy :)
@saraofnorthwales my dingy has a box I built with lithium batteries in it. My motor I use is actually a brushless motor, so it's a bit more powerful, but like I said, I've gone 30 miles on that little boat alone. The one I'm putting on my bigger boat is even more powerful, so I will have solar and the generator to make up for the extra draw and give extra range. I figure ill have about double the lithium bank i have on the smaller boat. I have a gas outboard. I'm gonna keep on board just in case, but I have never used it on my little boat and have gone thru all kinds of conditions.
Im thinking of this for my 24v 1500watt electric outboard. I'd use a slightly bigger generator, of course.
Sir, today is my 1st day of discovering your magnificent channel and I watched this video with great interest. The historical perspective you provide is just smashing. As a fan of technology of photography your knowledge and experience is precious. All the best to you.
they turned to crap when they started making them in China
Hello my friend. The MGF is a fine car and the old BL hydragas system is very good when it works. Low profile tyres are still the biggest enemy of a nice ride. It might be worth replacing your entire cooling system as that is the biggest weakness in those cars. I hope that you're well!
Everything has been done on his car by the previous owner, new radiator, stainless steel pipes, head gasket and water pump. I just did a trip to Wales and back, and the suspension is great. Temperatures are stable. I think it pays to warm these engines up properly before exceeding 3000 rpm. All the best.
Thank you for your work and the information you are providing.
The point of 48 volt is to USE LESS WIRING thereby reducing weight & expanding the range capability of the car!
X is a Roman numeral also, x marks the spot does it not? At least someone whether he’s right or not is trying to improve our lives & progress our society, you don’t see the old cartel companies wanting to progress our society! Who else bothered to land rockets & reuse them?…PROGRESS!

Very excellent video. Thank you.
i really love the old design of a thinkpad and im using x220 as my daily driver in 2024 running archlinux.
Marxism was a Semitic and foreign influence on Europe. It stands against everything traditionally European. Jeremy corbyn was stopped from being in the labour party, because he challenged the people who shall not be criticised.
I have only the x230u (Lenovo ThinkPad Twist). But I want a T480 to be happy.
Well, you will surely have one then :)
You're correct but it is the way it has to be. Your job is to observe but not interfere. I know that you feel this. You're a good man on a difficult journey but you're also free. I write, directed by intuition - the still, small voice, as it were. I think that I'm being guided to assist you in some way. The details I'm not privy to.
I did my time fighting the darkness. Somebody elses job now, as you rightly observe.
Man is a composite creature, his lower nature consisting of the fragments of the Titans and his higher nature the sacred, immortal flesh (life) of Bacchus.

Hi what an amazing trip and experience ,that look on your face off joy and nervous, your smiling face says it all, glad to see you back on here, hope to have a catch-up at dickies,i neglected the boat last year with the weather/work hopefully 2024 is a different story, talking about the med look at the french canal's looks like a good trip, don't forget the 90day rule, take care 👍
Hi John, nice to hear from you. One interesting thing I found out just the other day is if you don't check in to the EU you can cruise the coast as long as you want. You only need to check in if you want to spend the night ashore. If you are living onboard your boat, there is no need just to go ashore and shop for food and stuff. That would not apply to the canals, however. All the best, Adam.
Put a 40 mega pixel into an Canon Ixus size camera could be a winner.
He's an old guy...maybe losing some hair ....looks better with a hat under lights or photography...many musicians on stage do same But if that's the level of your inquiry ...well ...shows a level of maturity that's somewhat lacking.... Finally ...he looks good ....
The reason I wear a hat on KZread is because I have a tumor on my head that can be distracting from what I am saying.
Also, people who wear hats have positions in nature. Those without hats have no position. Often, musicians, who generally work for the good of humanity, have a position (Jimi Hendrix is an example) and therefore wear a hat. The reason people take their hats off is to go "off work" or "off position". This tones them down a bit for normal conversation. Right now, I have not got my hat on. :)
Why is he wearing a hat…indoors?
It seems to be a youtube trend these days.
He has style.
Better than sunglasses in doors.
Thanks for sharing Bro. subscribed. By the way, which fabric used for main sail.?
I don't know - the sails came with the boat. Thanks for watching.
yeah it really is a shame good screen aspect ratios are missing from modern laptops. occasionally you'll see a 16:10 like on the t400 but even 4:3 is extremely comfortable for a smaller laptop and only my x60s can do that, so it doesn't look like I'm getting anything newer.
I should probably get a wireless mouse so I can use my X61 again - I got it playing 1080p on youtube last time I changed my OS from Linux Mint to Mx Linux
@@saraofnorthwales ah yes, a mouse is a nice addition. I quite like the trackpoint on the older thinkpads; it feels more responsive compared to later models so I don't mind not having a touchpad. you probably know this already, but a tip for watching youtube on older computers is to try using either a frontend website such as invidious, or alternatively you can run mpv with a youtube link on the command line if you have the yt-dlp package installed. both these methods vastly improve performance by not having to load all the junk from the youtube website.
I love it! Good to see a sailing video! Hopefully see you back in Wales sometime!
Well it's a bit cold still :)
@@saraofnorthwales yes its why I'm not there now haha. Are you going back to dickies or somewhere else?
@@lokahandponyo I don't really know anything about the future - it's happening by itself. Could end up there or somewhere else. How about you?
@@saraofnorthwalesin vic doc :D heading south at the end of march!
@@lokahandponyo Well, that's pretty soon, you got much to do? Just been planning my repairs from last year - i'm pulling the main electric engine and the generator system, yet i'm putting solar on my dinghy!
Good to see you out at sea again! I take it that this was from the end of last season? Do you have plans for this season?
Hi Edward, I uploaded another video "A second Captain Required", I decided I don't want to do solo sailing anymore, not in the St Georges Channel, in any case. I see you had a good sail recently. What are your plans for this year?
@saraofnorthwales I'm currently camped out in Chicago looking after my dad, but will be heading back to Cali in March for a month of sailing around San Francisco Bay. No major destinations in mind. Just practice and boat projects. I saw your other video! That sounds like a good plan, though I think it will be tough to find someone. Everyone I know is far too busy to come sailing for even a day. I reckon you'd need a month to get to Greece.
@@EdwardSeatonSailings Yes, I would expect to spend the whole summer in the med, it's a full time thing really. Not for me, but for the other guy. Me, I don't care what happens, I just enjoy the moment :)
The MG rally sounds very interesting. Hope you get plenty of footage of your up coming adventures👍🏻⛵🏎
