A quick detail which differentiates SWB and LWB models is the distance of the torsion bar covers from the edge of the quarter panel. Also, deck lid grills varied from MY to MY.

All you need to look at is the rear flares if they are original.

1964s did have 911 on the rear deck. There is a story that the first 82 came with 901 designation which had to be changed due to Peugeot claiming the rights to a three digit model number with the 0 in the middle. The first batch of Porsche 901s were renamed 911. There exists at least one 64 911 with no rear lid mounted 911 badge . Build 57 at the Porsche museum in Germany. Great video and information!

Thanks for doing this. I just picked up a 68S, Italian market car. Still has the mostly clear turn signal lights, which was new to me. Very helpful🙏
