Hi, I'm Gabrielle. I created my channel with the aim to help Young Professionals and Millennials achieve their Money Goals.
After paying off $30,000 in Student Loans and saving up over $100,000 (all while traveling), I purchased my first real estate property in one of the most expensive cities in the world.
I have always been passionate about personal finance and wanted to share my money journey to becoming financially independent.
I'm a designated CPA in both Canada and the US, and worked as a Tax Manager at one of the Big 4 Accounting Firms, advising Global 500 companies.
After 7+ years, I gathered the courage to quit my 9-5 to start my own Tax Firm called Balance and Wealth CPA so I could make an impact in my own way.
My mission is to guide business owners in Canada understand and navigate their business finances, so they can ultimately achieve financial independence too.

Your new vehicle lost less than 25% of the purchase price in 3 years? What happens if you take it out of the garage?
Thank you!
Most people won't afford a car if they follow these percentages. Also, in case of used car there will be greater maintenance and unexpected repairs that are not accounted for here.
Do the comparison of buying used and leasing a new one so people can understand. In my opinion the best thing is to get like 3 years old car which already dropped it’s value but has only like 30k miles on odometer. And go from there. I like to buy those in cash, so I am also not forced to pay for full coverage. And also you can get the credit card from which you buy a car and have 0apr for 18 months. Those are the best options in my opinion
hi sis, so much info. u are the next Robert Kiyoski
what is your second channel about camping?
Omg omg! I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH! This video was very informative and I love the documents you provided!! VERY MUCH HELPFUL! I am definitely going to execute and use the tools you provided! I already filled out monthly budget for July and my debt summary. I’m realizing I have so much money left over to save and to knock down debt! Thank you again like seriously!
you're very welcome!
A small thing but it's helped me over the years. When I got paid and I had money left over from the previous month I would move that amount from checking to savings. That way I wasn't tempted to overspend just because I had it. And when I had a larger expense there was money in the savings I could use. Good luck everyone.
I want to be debt free next year. But seems like there's always something to pay for when you're trying to save. Or is it just me.
Question: Instead of the Trudeau Liberal Government creating (not buying) more well paying jobs, and lowering taxes, increasing investments, to create a weather society for all, it would rather go after the private sectors, Individuals who created a service for short term rentals. Why aren’t the Trudeau Liberals Government building much needed low income social housing.
It’s crazy a Caleb hammer video got me to start caring about finances and stop living paycheque to paycheque. It’s simple make more money or spend less the choice is yours but make one.
we use miles not km
The major issue is actually insurance, for leased and financed car, you technically have to buy full insurance or you could potentially be sued if sht go south, and that wipe out any benefits
I'm already using Terra Support. So far so good. Carrys still do a lot of damage. Once I engage an enemy with that Ult and I'm in their face with my ADC showering them with damage from the background it's almost a guaranteed kill. They can never seem to stop me in time. But it's definitely a little bit more difficult to use than some of the other supports. (The ADC has to be good. But I know this could technically apply to any situation)
you are out of today's reality
As I listen to your information I can’t help to see how beautiful you are.
Thank you
I fkn hate turdo and the entire left
Very informative. Having a budget is important but sticking to it is even more important. No use having a budget and still spend more than what you had budgeted. It will require much discipline and the 'why' will become essential as it gives you the reasons why you are doing this. Great video & do create more of such content.
Thanks Lester!
Great video! Thank you.
i dont care :D If I have 300k for porsche I am buying it!
Sweet vid! Like this one
haha. real financial advice and only 2500 view. while scammers got millions of views
It's unfortunate
Feel free to share this video so more people can see it! :D
Hey Gabrielle, Can you recommend a financial adviser for ordinary people with low income to be financially smart. Thanks
Hey Gabrielle! How can this be used to track multi year net worth? Looks like this sheet only tracks for a year. Should I make a copy and start over for 2025?
Hi Ajay, yes that's correct, it's an annual template and gives you the most updated networth during the year. For 2025, you can copy and start a new one. Hope that clarifies!
Great Content and Helpful !!
My mother lived check to check my father always had money. I followed after my mom. I live check to check after second divorce I kinda gave up and I am where I am because of my decisions. I need to take these things seriously, might just be a little too late.
It’s not too late you could still do it!
Your so beautiful, marry me pls
Gabrielle can you do an updated video on dividends vs salary? Of paid dividends personal income is tax free and is paid at corporate level to deducted?
On the subject of lifestyle inflation, I’ve fallen into this trap way too often and still do on occasion. The mind is a powerful thing and is very susceptible to taking shortcuts to find the easiest way to better living. Training yourself to spend within your means and not compare your life with what others have takes practice.
Exactly!
I live pay cheque to pay cheque saving ,most goes to savings the rest to pay bills. Mortgage free, debt free ,use credit card for everything and pay it off every week (points). I have only had 1 loan at 17 for a car,I'm now 62 and pay cash for everything. If you pay cash for large items every 3rd item is basically free due to interest savings
Mortgage free is a big one!
@@GabrielleTalksMoney I agree
Thanks, really looked at my problem. Not Investing is one, and bad habit's is another. Dig it.
First step is identification, best of luck!
My money story is I pay cash for everything including houses and cars. My only debt is a credit card with a $10,000 limit which I pay off completely every month. I have never understood the idea of living paycheck to paycheck.
Seems like you are in a great spot!
What are your thoughts on credit cards with points? I think some people may get carried away with collecting the points. I've been told to have two CC, one with a high limit and one with a low limit. The low limit one would be used for online purchases.
@@sibilare135 Credit cards with points are ok as long as you don't make purchases because of the points. Let the points accrue naturally. Points are typically a benefit worth less than 1% of the transaction value. No one buys anything just because it's 1% off. As for the two CC's, sounds ok to me.
It’s not always avoidable
Thank you very much! This is very helpful and informative!
Glad it was helpful!
Congrats!

I am in debt as a result of counting my eggs before they hatched. I charged on my cc with the expectation that my raise, bonus and tax return will cover it. The bonus wasn’t as expected, I ended up OWING taxes and my raise was equivalent to a loaf of bread. I am disgusted with myself.
Hi Gabrielle, cool video! Thank you so much for that! Please, could you tell me if it is possible to join Big4 Tax team after being in Information technology industry? I actually have been working for Global Tax Team in IT company and really want to move to Big 4 and later I can see my future in Tax Advisory role - Would you recommend what to do to be accepted by Big4?
Great, my cottages are going to be a problem 🤨

Bought a brand new Toyota corolla S cash in 2006 for $18,000 and about 8-10 years later with about 200,000 miles on it someone hit my parked Corolla and totaled it. Insurance paid me over $12,000 for the car. Bought a new 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport for $21,000 and financed it at 1.99% and quickly paid it off in 3 years. 3 weeks ago after 6 years of ownership and 60,000 miles plus on it. The Civic was totaled due to flood damage by my insurance company and they gave me about $20,900. Moral of the story. Only buy Japanese cars that keep their value meaning Toyota and Honda products. Try to buy gently used or dealer certified used and drive them til the wheels fall off and it's hard to lose money with Honda and Toyota. Both of these cars I've owned costed me pretty much nothing to own. Changed the oil, 1-2 sets of tires each, oil changes and windshield wipers. Don't lease a car, it's a huge financial mistake since you have no equity in it even though you're making payments (same reason why not to rent a house). American and European cars are unreliable and lose value off the lot.
A big issue with these apple to apples comparisons is that there are some cars you'd be better off buying due to dependability and some care you'd be better off leasing because of unknown reliability and low monthly payments. For example, T Rav 4's cost 10k more than a Kia Sportage. I'd rather own a Rav 4 but the financing is 600 a month while a Sportage's lease is 250 a month. Do the math from there. You can buy a Rav 4 and over 3 years dramatically depreciate it and pay 350 more each month or lease, save money, invest elsewhere. 350 a month is 12,600 over that 3 year lease period. The 'you get equity when you finance' argument doesn't make sense here when you can actually have 12,600 in some other asset + compounding had you leased a more underrated and therefore cheaper vehicle in the same class.
can you mention quebec tax brackets. thank you
hi sis, so much valuable info
Great video !! when you mentioned about the crypto currency reporting is it mean that we have to report the crypto accounts in T1135?
Weird how these concepts are still new to most. I mean just think logically what can be done and why, you'll cone up with the same plan un this vid.
Great video tfs❤
I look forward to owning my own home 🙏🏾
