I have a 2024 jeep wrangler Sahara and I bought the alpine spv 65X and it didn’t fit because the soundbar housing layout was completely different. Would the speakers you just showed work for my jeep?
I noticed a back up camera option on this bundle, when I decide to install and back up cam on the jeep, does the system have a plug in slot of the back up camera?
Does the 9000 have a DSP like the 6000?
I have a 6 speed manual Gladiator Mojave. The access hole to run power wire to battery is occupied by the slave cylinder for the clutch. Where do you suggest to run the power wire through the fire wall to the battery?
If I wanted to add two subs, can it be done with a XAV-AX5000?
Is is possible to buy the appropriate size tweeter adapter ring(s) from you guys? 2014 Wrangler JK
So on crutchfield it says this unit will fit with modification but in this and other videos it doesn't seem to need any?
@@PNSinstant It doesn’t need any modifications. There are very few instances where the top trim piece needs to shaved down about 1/16”. Some jeeps have a thicker plastic mold piece. Similarly to the rubber grommet in the tailgate for the backup camera. Some jeeps have a hard plastic piece that requires drilling through vs most that have a soft rubber piece that the wire can be pushed through.
The website says that this is for an upgrade on the sound bar for Jeep gladiator 2020 and up. However, that is not correct because in 2024, they put airbags in the sound bar so it’s completely different than what is in the video. The sound bar speakers will not fit in a 2024 gladiator sound bar.
@@hyemm The product page states “Kicker KS Plug & Play Speaker Bundle Upgrade (Factory Amplified) | '18-'23 JL/ '20-'23 JT”. It also states, “Not Compatible with 2024 jeeps.” We have it noted that these are for 2023 and below only.
I get that… but what good are these ones without the amp?
@@johnpringle5842 They’re an upgrade over the factory speakers in clarity, quality, etc.
So what good will these do. No amp, you are just connecting good speakers to no watts. How would I add an amp to a plug and play gladiator?
@@johnpringle5842 Glad that you asked. We have a full plug and play amp, speaker, and sub bundle which demonstrate the installation using our Gladiator. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Zaipt9KYZsyxpag.htmlsi=YHPt3xgw1LcOpR5E
Manual transmission would've been pretty cool
@@atombomb6719 Why would that differ?
@trailseven I have a 2021 Wrangler unlimited 6-speed. Its awesome to take turns with and toss around. Your video had me thinking about upgrading the sound system, also- the exhaust note is fun to listen to.
Do they have a bundle for the cherokee?
@@kricketflyd111 Not “yet”!
Great Video, Answered all the questions. Thank you
@@vinceb9310 Thank you very much!
When will this be released for 2013 Jeep Wrangler?
@@dantecangemi1495 Great news, we have them in stock! We’ll be building out the product page shortly!
Hey, amazing video explains well on how to set it up I just have 1 question. will I need to buy a idatalink maestro for this?
@@juanleon9497 Thank you very much. Not at all. We include, flash, and attach a Maestro module to each bundle prior to shipping. The entire bundle is literally 100% set up for a plug and play install.
Perhaps a stupid question, but for those of us who have the upgraded Alpine audio system in their JL Wranglers but want more ‘boom', is it possible to hook this up to the existing wiring and subwoofer that’s arleady in the cargo area, or is this not a thing? I would like to upgrade the bass in my JL, but it’s a lease, so I want it to be simple to install and easy to remove (sans wiring) at the end of the lease.
@@iSowelu Not a stupid question at all. Yes and no. Yes, would have been able to operate simultaneously with the factory subwoofer. Using the same installation as shown, the factory sub is not interfered with and still functions. However, No, only because this particular set up is not available for the time being. Kicker is re-engineering the design to resolve overheating issues with the first batch. The solution, is our sun and mono amp bundle which connects to the factory radio and doesn’t require any cutting, splicing, or customizing. When connected per our bundle, the new sub is powered by a new mono amp all while leaving the factory sub operating as normal. You will result in 2 functioning subs. Here is the link to the install video which includes links to our website product page: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iqN9tbqNmpmqj9o.htmlsi=W3AKMllubxyPBT_o Let us know if you need anything at all!
@@trailseven Great, thanks for the info! I do have a 2024 Wrangler (4xe), so I think I need to wait for revised product from Kicker.
Wrangler install would be awesome. This seems to go much smoother than a wrangler. I don’t see room under my 2020 wrangler seat for this amp. Kinda frustrating now that I’ve gone this far as to remove the seat
@@dadandjc The Wrangler and Gladiator front seats are identical. This bundle most definitely fits under your 2020 Wrangler seat.
Can you combine this with the kicker speaker bundle
@@user-lo3ud7fs2e Absolutely!
Just installed this in my 2016 jk and it was SO EASY! My radio I got from you guys had the red bullet connection! SO no wiring to the rear tail light. I was able to hook it up at the park while my kids played. haha
@@TonyArechiga Music to our ears. Enjoy the new ride!
Wild how complicated this is.
@@chinothedreamgiver1629 Not complicated, just time consuming.
I love how everything is super detailed except for the power connection wiring, where it totally skips ahead to it being done and the guy saying "that is probably the most complicated part of the whole install" lol
@@hoghat1 Power at the tail light is no longer needed as our bundles now include pre-terminated connectors. The connections are now made at the back of the radio so the tail light connection is not necessary when purchasing our bundles.
I have the base model of the speakers with no amp or sub. After this upgrade how is the bass compared to the original?
@@Karlman32 Upgrading speakers will provide better sounding music over higher quality speakers. If you’re wanting loud, and bass, that will come from more power and a subwoofer.
How does one know if they have the factory amp?
If you have the factory installed subwoofer, then you have the factory amplified system. The JLU subwoofer is in the rear cargo area along the right side and is marked Alpine. The JL is located in the floor of the cargo area, and the JT is located behind the rear bench in the middle of the wall panel. The JT is not marked with Alpine and barely looks like a sub but you’ll see the horizontal grill.
Do you need to buy the PAC Aampro module as well if you have the factory amp?
No, the Alpine systems are designed to connect the factory radio without the need for a PAC module.
@@trailseven I have the amplified alpine system with the sub in the back. The reason I ask is the product description states: “This is compatible with factory radios with the use of a PAC Aampro module, or aftermarket radios without a PAC module. “ Also: does putting this in a Jeep with the amplified system turn off the sub in the back passenger side, and only use the new sub that gets put under the seat? Or are both subs (under seat + back passenger) both work?
How much of a difference would the stinger head unit make in sound compared to the 7in head unit
If you have any aftermarket radio, you won’t need the interface module. You will route the RCA’s directly to the radio vs the module. We can prepare the bundle without the factory radio connections as well.
I have the new apmPRO 4 non factory amplified, I just want my amp to my sub hooked up. The kit came with factory speaker harness, where does that get splice to?
You purchased the bundle from Trail Seven? If so, nothing in our bundles require any splicing. If you’re needing installing support, please call or email us for assistance. 301-450-3207 [email protected] Also, Please provide your order number for reference.
Why the harness with wires then??
@@Bill-le3jf Can you provide your order number so we can assist?
Order # 6910. Stock speakers, no amp. I'm trying to hook up just a mono amp and two subs
@trailseven
2 questions, what about backup camera and why can we not use the factory microphone? They’re nominally better than aftermarket.
What are the options for 2024 Wrangler with the 12" screen? Are there any? My factory non-amp needs some subwoofer thump.
We certainly do have the solution to add this same set up into your 2024! Reach out to us directly so we can manually put your bundle together. [email protected]
Awesome video! Im really considering this bundle for my 2008 JK, my speakers are absolute trash at this point.. Is there a similar speaker you guys recommend to replace my Subwoofer with? Something I can use in the existing box would be awesome!
Just got this bundle for my kid and the 2015 JK.. and installed in in about 45 min taking our time. He has a big sub and I forgot the size of the amp but holy crap what a difference over the U connect system that came with the Hardrock edition.. Can you do a video or point us to a video that can help in tuning the speakers in? They are the factory Alpine.. Thanks
Anything on the new 24’s? I have a 24 392 and the sound bar is designed differently
The 2024’s have been redesigned. We have options coming very, very soon!
Ok cool let me know, the sound system is horrible with the top and doors off
Do you guys sell just the plug and play tweeters?

@@trailseven awesome just did!
I see it says the '18 - '24 jl wrangler...will it work in my 2024 jl wrangler hard top?
It absolutely will! We just may also have the interface available to connect to the factory ‘24 radio to connect the amp as well! 😁. Reach out to us for more info: [email protected]
I have installed a similar system but infinity component speakers on the alpine system but all of the sudden rear soundbar speakers are muffled and twitters stop working or go in and out. Scratching my head looking online for solutions. Any suggestions?
The factory amplifier in the Alpine system can create a handful of miscellaneous issues. The solution is to bypass the factory amp and add an upgraded amplifier.
Crazy how much stuff has to be taken off to replace the speakers. Wow! So much for a “jeep” easy to work on them. Thanks for the great video
Those knee speakers are certainly a chore to get to but definitely worth the upgrade. Especially when adding the 6.5” speaker and pod!
Installed my Sony XAV-AX6000 today in 17 Wrangler Sahara JKU. Service from Trail Seven was awesome. Packaging was great and this video was spot on. No problems at all with install and the head unit worked great with my previously installed backup camera. Could not be happier all around. Thank you Trail Seven for going above and beyond 👍
Thank you so much for your support, super glad to hear that you’re happy with the service and the product. Please let us know if you need anything at all!
If my jeep don’t have the premium system. But I want the rear speakers with the tweeter. Should fit correct? Just won’t have the extra connector for it?
If you’re jeep doesn’t have the factory premium system and you haven’t upgraded the radio or added an amplifier, we would NOT recommend adding the pod with the tweeter. In short, your factory radio cannot handle the power draw requirements of the additional tweeter. This can and will cause the CAN system to react in a protective state which will negatively impact the sound. You can install the pod with the tweeter if you have the factory premium system, have an upgraded head unit, or add an amplifier.
Very cool kit! I love all things KICKER 💯🔥🔥 She’s got beautiful hands too like in those QVC commercials LOL
Does the Alpine i509 Restyle dash increase sound output vs base sound system 7" headunit? 2020 JL base sounds
Without a doubt. The i509 Restyle provides more power with a tremendous amount of adjustability.
Is this better/more powerful than the Alpine PSS-24WRA complete sound system? That one is a complete kit for the Wrangler JL, 300 watt, for $2k. Not sure how this one compares in power output and quality.
We also offer full bundle systems using all Alpine equipment. Either way, the amps the amps in the full system bundles most definitely provide more power over the PSS-24WRA bundle, however the 24WRA is a great little compact bundle. We stock the 24WRA as well so if you would like to reach out to us directly, we would be more than happy to discuss the options. 302-450-3207, 9am-5pm est. Mon-Fri.
No amps required?
Not required for better sound, however if you’re looking for top down, doors off type of loud, then an amp would be required. Upgraded speakers will improve your sound quality, but “loud” is going to come from the power provided to them. So your sound system goals will determine if amps are required.
Can i just buy the t harness bundle with rca module?
Absolutely! Shoot us an email and we’ll get you taken care of. [email protected]
Are all of the Phillips head/7mm screws the same length? Just curious as far as having to keep track of what went where..
Yes, they’re all the same length.
@@trailseven sweet, thank you for your quick reply. That helps my mind.. Lol
@@rickschrunk6266 We can completely relate! 😁
Does anyone know if the downfiring box will fit under the jeep 2 door back seats and actually be able to remove the back seats with ease if needed?
The down-firing will not fit under the rear seats. The 8” will however fit in the cargo area behind the rear seats.
Do the rear bar speakers work when the unit is playing music and does fade controls work please let me know I am doing a lot of research because I am looking for a aftermarket unit for my 2010 Jeep JKU sport and where do I find the U-Connect box at on my 2010 Jeep JKU sport or does my Jeep have a U-Connect box?
Yes, all speakers work, fade controls work, and all factory features are retained. If your Jeep has a phone button on your steering wheel, then you have U-connect.
@@trailseven thank you for the reply I am most likely to order one.

Yes and we have it! We have the brackets and template to mount this tailgate in a JK.
When will you offer this for the 2024 JL Wrangler 4xe?

Heavily edited! This video is only 34min long but based on the beard growth during the vid, expect the install to take a few weeks! ;)
Lol, we grow them fast here at Trail Seven! We used clips from earlier installs for the dash removal portions as that applies regardless of which radio you’re installing.
How's the sound quality? Apparently it puts out 20-watts RMS. Is it much better than the stock unit?
It’s night and day compared to stock!
