That still doesn't count as a dismissal. Smith wasn't terrorised either. If leaving a ball and ducking to tackle bouncers is considered as "terrorised" then publicly admitting that fellow teammates were depressed due to Mitchell Johnson (2013 ashes) should be considered as "surrendered".

He didnt leave the ball tho he got smacked and the head and had to retire lol. Indian fans always have the worst opinions. And yes england were destroyed by mitchell johnson but that is a separate issue

I think an end to many Cricket fans' obsession with baseball & to convert anything & anyone from baseball to Cricket would be helpful too. Of course if USA is to have anything close to its Cricket glory days of early 1900s they'd need a national playing XI formed exclusively by players who learnt their Cricket in USA & have only represented USA in International Cricket instead of relying on talent coming from overseas especially from Cricketing nations who have their own National teams with standards high enough for those overseas talents to be not able to find a spot there making a shift to USA as just a smart move for their Cricket career but not necessarily anything to do with any pride for representing USA in Cricket.

Most of the Cricket world sees the USA's 'big nation" status as inevitable. What needs to be discussed in depth, at length, is the USA's Cricket character. Historically with a gentlemen's code of code, a "spirit of Cricket," mores and ethos long in place, just bringing a haul of money along with the white male aura (automatically endowed with common sense and practicality) may not cut it always as the US reaches for Cricket. Our main stadium may be Dallas, TX simply because of airline hub paths, not al all because of the cowboy hat! Resilence will be key in our nation's Cricket character, something largely missing in the USA's social psyche, we are too used to being handed things.

Dude, you can keep your cricket side to yourself. We here in the US, are creating our own players from scratch. Just give us another 5 years and then see the results.

I never even heard of him til today, met him irl and was an alright broke. Hes working with a politician (god dont know his name, remembered brackens so thats great), but yea even got a photo at one of the construction centres with him and few others and after that. I looked up at his height, curious cause hes a big mf and guys 6”5, now im 183cm which is 6” and i said hey mate are you really 6”5, he replied “yeah im pretty sure, got measured last week” yeah i get why, everyones pulls up a tape measure when a big guy appears i know from experience😂, but yeah apparently the dentist could be wrong about height measurement, i mean its been a couple months now maybe im 6”1 or even 2 now

I don't think recruiting players from other countries is the way to go. They've tried it in soccer and it doesn't work. Yes, have 2 or 3 players on the team from other countries for their experience and to show young US players the levels of professionalism needed to compete, but to have a team entirely composed of foreign players leads nowhere.

Thanks USA 🇺🇸,,,Last 15 years cricket has been dramatically changed by the hand of T20/T10 formats & these 2 shorter format are very enjoyable & easy to learn for any country_ By these 2 shorter format of the game cricket the very nice game is now a way of globalization & there are 108 nations in ICC,,the game is now a way of globalization & ICC members will definitely be increase in upcoming days & the game will get a sit in Olympics,,,So cricket is now not a time wasting game, _T20/T10 both are very fast pace game & also a entertainment game,,Now many nations who are very rich country like USA,,,Many financially weak nations & many nations who were not traditionally under British empire also playing Cricket __ Welcome to all associate countries & USA_ in the upcoming days USA also be a very good, friendly & very high quality cricket team like other teams,,nothing is impossible,,All can happen,,just hard work, practice & dedication makes all things perfect,,Carry on & Come on USA in Cricket....

I’m not even kidding when I say this: if they want Americans to play cricket, those uniforms have got to go. High Schools here don’t have uniforms, unless they’re private. That means that kids here aren’t used to being forced to wear shit that they think looks ridiculous-especially jocks. The polos are a non-starter, and the gear has to present differently. Collared shirts are associated with the exact opposite of what an athlete wears, and the loose-fitting aesthetic of the entire kit you generally see cricketers in, make them look like they’re wearing pajamas…and Hulk Hands. I’m a citizen of both the EU and US, and jock culture here is completely different than other countries. There are certain overlapping personality traits, but you just have to look at American opinions of international sports, as a whole. Soccer players are seen as being p*ssies in High School, and guys don’t usually pursue it after the age of 12. Soccer stars are seen as fist-pumping, club-rat, douchebags. We don’t embrace showing up to play while looking like you smell like a magazine full of cologne samples, and are coming from your stylist’s chair where you paid $750 for a haircut for game day. We want our athletes to look like absolute animals, or cyborg assassins. Rugby is seen as being too similar to football, but not as athletic, violent or strategic. Olympic sports are for someone that wants a 4-year scholarship to an excellent school, and we only care about them every 4 years, as a nation. Otherwise, participating in track is basically just to provide stats relating to physical attributes that scouts in the four major sports look for. No one is going to wear any iteration of any kit I’ve ever seen in cricket, while competing in front of their classmates. It either looks like something a 50yr old man would wear to a club outing, called to discuss banning minorities from their neighborhood in the 1920’s, or they’ve got you out there looking like a South American petrol station attendant. Cricket’s best shot is to speak to the fathers of student athletes-bc they’re the ones ingraining these views in their sons. Establish clubs at colleges, and offer scholarships. Then focusing on converting baseball players to cricket, with the opportunity at a better education-free college at a respected university will draw b-level talent from the middle-class, the same way track, soccer, and lacrosse do.

I'm guessing a few US colleges do have cricket teams, but these would presumably be the posh ones. There might be some schools outreach going on right now as part of the Major League Cricket venture, which is part of a long term drive to promote cricket in the US.
