For what the story is in the comics. The characters used..... This movie would've been as big as infinity war. Yes it's a comic book movie, but not the comic book. Taika had a good formula when he did Ragnarok... The story. The seriousness but the comedy flowed. Love & thunder went to heavy on the comic relief. Fell short with the seriousness of the story and characters. Gorr himself was horrendously shorted. As in the comic his image was much better ( but that was due to Christian Bale needing to make sure the audience knew his face ... He was the reason on gorrs look in the movie .....horrible. ) on top of the character itself he fell short portraying gorrs character. Zeus was turned into a silly fat character. ... Zeus. God of God's among the marvel universe....in short. The story itself was alright. The execution was ... Poor. The characters - good pick of characters. But poor usage. ... And with the seriousness of the story it fell short in following through. Yes it's taken...somewhat ...from the comics - but again, this IS a movie so it has to translate. It was fun. It had its moments but Ragnarok is still the one to beat.

It didn't 'flop' because everyone was eager to go and see it because Ragnarok was amazing. But it fell short once seeing it. Yes it's fun. But they fell short...hard in utilizing the characters this story has. Like gorr...the god butcher. That's a whole saga in itself. And then gave into Christian Bale needing to make sure the audience knew his face, and went ahead and changed gorrs look. - horrible - and nerfed him. .... The story used is amazing. Again... It fell short big time in using these characters to their optimum ability
