What is your suggestions for questions like why did you leave your previous job. It's kind difficulty to establish the real reason could be that you didn't feel good anymore or the urge to make changes or because better benefits. Thank you

Thank you so much for sharing this video. I learned so much from, especially the fact that you should never leave an interview with out asking the interviewers questions. I am feeling good about my interview tomorrow!

I started asking these questions at age 18 and it made a stark difference in my interviews! It’s almost as if you don’t really understand that interviews are two way streets until you start normalizing asking questions at the end. The interviewer can talk for miles and end up liking you bc they may talk about their personal experiences at the job and fun times they have had. Sometimes even they get nervous. I can’t believe I ever used to not ask questions. How embarrassing. It’s like your real interview starts after you ask questions and when you actually ask them, they seem so surprised and impressed. Like “okay now I am paying attention. This one isn’t an automatic no.” That’s what it feels like they’re thinking as soon as you hit them with the questions.

I have 32+ years in software development. Google stats states it's 1.3% interview/application ratio. Imagine doing 25 interview in a year without a job. You figured that the video is deceitful (fake). Great. However, I can tell you don't have much understanding of technology. Take any of the 15 computer languages iI know. There are LITERALLY 500+ questions on any of them. I definitely know that interviewers research their questions beforehand and some even deviously do trick questions which they wouldn't know themselves. I have NEVER had to show ONE line of code or demo screen of what I could do UNTIL 2022, though I was hired at AT&T as my first contract on ONE telephone interview where I moved from Ohio for THAT job. It was supposed to be 4 interviews but after being rejected so much I"became" the interview in my mind and peppered the hiring manager with tech questions that baffled him. I didn't have A.I. in 2019. Interviewers today ask dictionary (document based/definition) questions THEY themselves read WHILE the candidate is speaking. And YOU have a problem with canditates taking advantage of the VERY tools created by software engineers? Make that make sense. Some interviews HAVE to mention by policy that they are using A.I. to take notes of my interview. I will use it for the first time.

I’m retired, and want to get back to work part time. Watched a ton of your videos on You Tube, made notes, prepared for the behavioral questions, just returned from an interview, had a great time, asked questions at the end, she talked, then I asked if there was anything I needed to add. I asked the big hesitation question, and she replied she was planning to recommend me to two of the managers who currently have part time openings. Thank you so much, I have no fear for interviews going forward. Thank you. You are a gem!

Make sure you are paying careful attention to the interviewer if they show ANY TYPE OF DISMAY, HESITATION, or RELUCTANCY when answering Cultural or Role-Specifics questions. Identity the Red Flags to avoid working for a Low Quality Employer. *If you've been unemployed for 8+ Months then disregard everything and take the first readonable offer that comes lol

VERY good advice! I may have to make an additional video based on your comment because it's hard to tell if/when people are being honest while answering those types of questions. We have to have our "people readers" on for sure!

I’m really struggling looking for a new job is a full time job. I feel so unfulfilled in my current job it’s draining. But the salary helps me and my family. I can’t just end my job not have anything to go to. I’ve had 6 job interviews a lot I make to the end then either 1- stronger candidate 2- don’t hear from them 3- salary bracket is too low I’ve made a goal by mid August I’m looking to leave. it’s not worth staying in a job that is making me unhappy and unfulfilled TBH the only thing I enjoy are the ppl but the work I’m not motivated to do But thankyou for this video it really does help I know there are other ppl worse of them myself so I just need to be grateful for what I have. I know my YES it’s on its way. just got to wait on it.

The first real panel interview I went to with a large chemical manufacturing corporation was a panel interview, I made the mistake of not asking any questions at the end and needless to say I did not get the job. I learned from this and the next job, I asked great questions and was able to land it.

Hello Abby! I have an open house interview tomorrow at a local food chain. I'm thinking about directly handing my thank you note to the interviewer since I do not have access to a mailing address or personal email. Would that be too much? Would I appear as if I'm trying too hard? If anyone else has any helpful input that would be greatly appreciated!

But yeah, through the middle, you're giving great questions. However though, we don't have a "one sided conversation" otherwise, it's not an interview but a speech... So the interview should already be in a way that you ask your questions meanwhile. Our interviews go not rarely, for four hours.

  • @99CaNdYfLiP99

Hey! Thanks for asking about it - it's a Secretlab chair. Here's my affiliate link if you'd like to get one too: bit.ly/3RTZDbb (It looks like they have an Independence Day sale where you can get up to $100 off right now!) I have the Ash TITAN Evo - my husband and I each have one. When you're sitting at a desk for long periods of time, the comfort and ergonomics of your desk chair matters SO MUCH!

Your videos are great. How long should you wait to contact the hiring manager after a 1.5 hour panel interview with 7 people? I believe the interview went well, sent thank you notes to all. I sent a note asking for an update to the recruiter, since I did not get feedback after 2 weeks. While I did not get a no, the company has gone silent on me. Your thoughts on further communication.
