I see no need for modding my A10 with the exception of maybe running the tubes a little hotter (shortening life of the output tubes). I just missmatch using my 15 Ohm speakers with the 8 Ohm taps on the A10 and putting in some nice 6L6GC or KT66 tubes. Sonically this transformed the A10 in my setup from mediocre (with stock EL34) to amazing.

Здравствуйте. Я изменил усилитель по методу skunkie . Я не увидел разницу звучания. Лампа 6N2 я отпаял красный провод. Контакту 2 паял резистор 1M. К контакту 3 паял резистор 1К и конденсатор 220uf 25v. Может быть я что то не так сделал? На обеих лампах 6n оба накала работают .

It only helps with possible wind, and dirt that tries to get in, but if its to reduce noise, and road noise sound deadening is the key.

I am also grateful to Stephie for this modification. I actually bought this amplifier thinking that I would have to do this. After the first auditions, I was 100% sure of it. The distortion was brutal, starting quite quickly when the volume was increased

To keep the 6N2 you also kept the red „bridge“ cable on the socket and then did all the mods as described by skunkie or any other changes to be aware of?

I still kept the red jump cable between pin 1 and 6, and the rest just followed the Skunkie mods. I know you may only use 1/2 of the 6N2 or 12AX7 as mentioned in the official mod video, and in that case, you don't need that red jump cable anymore as you only use pin 1,2,3 or 6,7,8 (half of the tube). But either case be sure that pin 2 or pin 7 be soldered to the junction between the 1M and 1K resistors.

Just make sure you find the fuel pump fuse and unplug it. Then start the car until it dies. That way it drains all the fuel out of the system. Remember this is a high pressure fuel pump which contains alot of fuel. Then your good to go to replace it.

Then you gotta have a professional mechanic scanned the error code on the SRS airbag system, before proceeding to the next step. The method shown in this video is just to erase any error code stored in the computer, but if something is not working right in the first place, obviously the light will come back on sooner or later.

What would happen if I removed some of the frit from behind the rear view mirror? I have a dash cam mirror, and the frit is in the way. I would like to remove an inch or two from the bottom of the frit. Your thoughts.

not bad for the price, if you just want a simple upgrade to your stock system with the capability to fine tune the sound stage and EQ, i think it's a good investment, although i don't like Class D amplifier much.
