    Slightly surprised that asking about how individuals came to be in a wheelchair was relevant to topic. A personal question in my view that shouldn't be expected, especially for people in the know regarding SCI.

    Thank you, you make a great point that the question was not relevant to the topic. We were a partner on this project and we will pass on your comment to the team. We do want to note that all the individuals in the video were informed of the questions ahead of time and did not have to answer any questions they were uncomfortable with. Regardless, your feedback is insightful and very much appreciated.

    So, when using InterDry I don’t need to use any creams with it? Just clean & dry area and then insert InterDry?? I’d like to buy some, but just want to make sure I know how to use correctly before buying.

    Yes, that is correct. You can find more info at interdry.coloplast.ca/ - near the bottom of the page, there is a great How To video under InterDry Video Resources. If you have further questions, we recommend reaching out to Coloplast directly.

    I have found that most bedside and chairside lights are NOT controlled by wall switches. I understand that you plan to make smart switches. How do you place IR receivers for those switches in a suitable location for bedside and chairside usage?

    Hi there! Glad you found the webinar informative. You can learn more about the Lotus Ring at www.getlotus.com/ or email [email protected] with any questions

  • @GetLotus
    @GetLotus5 ай бұрын

    That’s Right! We do plan to eventually make a Lotus product that allow remote control of objects (like lamps) that are plugged into a wall outlet (but not controlled by a wall switch), using the Lotus Ring. The product design, and location of the IR receiver, will account for line of sight from the widest variability of range as possible.

    Have you had any issues with the wall switch magnets not being sufficiently strong to hold the device on paddle switches that are mechanically difficult to turn on/off?

  • @GetLotus
    @GetLotus5 ай бұрын

    Great question! Although we haven't had any issues with magnet hold, this is something we are actively watching for as users complete in-home pilots. Keeping setup as straightforward as possible, while eliminating the need for additional adjustments to existing switches is important to us!

    Hi my name is Rhonda and I'm 54 years old. I've been a complete quad for almost 20 years. I have gained about 30 lbs. and would like to lose that weight. Since I can't work out, I know that it comes down to caloric intake. I live in a nursing facility so it's hard to eat healthy. Can I get some suggestions?

    I just woke up this morning with a stinging sore spot under my tummy fold. I'm somewhat overweight, hence the tummy fold. Anyway, this area had a strange odour, and I immediately cleansed the area, and dried it thoroughly. I have done nothing differently that I know of (except dieting to lose weight), and I don't perspire in that area profusely. I just read that it could be something called Intertrigo. I have applied cornflour (cornstarch) and it seemed to soothe it. But you said it wasn't good for this and may make it worse. I'm about to leave on holiday and am concerned that it will get worse. Thank you for this video.

    It’s so hard travelling with a wheelchair user. My girlfriend is a t10 complete paraplegic and is completely paralysed from her waist down. She has been a paraplegic for the past 30 years and has no feeling or movements at all from her waist down. It’s so awful seeing her struggle to get in and out her wheelchair

    Single use is not practical at all! How many times do you urinate in 24hrs? ...going through 5-8-10 catheters a day is way over the top! Of course we reuse catheters! Lets just say on the low side if you only go 5 times in 24hrs. Then you would need 150 catheters per month!! 8 times a day 240/mnth!! and so on! Not only cost but ordering 150-300 catheters a month is a storage, logistical and environmental nightmare!

    Oi gente, tudo bem? Pesquisem depois nos buscadores da internet sobre transplante de nervos ou neurorrafia. Eu li alguns artigos que falam que algumas pessoas tetraplégicas voltaram a mexer os braços e alguns as pernas. Mas não sei se isso está em fase de testes ou se já fazem essas cirurgias, para as pessoas voltarem a andar. Se as pessoas paraplégica ou tetraplégicas voltassem a andar seria muito bom ! Espero que ajude ! Um abraço ! Vejam depois os artigos. Eu creio que já realizam essas cirurgias em alguns lugares e vejam primeiro se vale a pena, ou se a pessoa fica pior depois. Se não, não façam. Tem que tomar cuidado com essas coisas. Porque as vezes pode ser irreversível. /
