  this is rely from reddit police 119 , any thing against a tourist (doesn't matter you brown or white) will taken very seriously in Sri Lanka. Police take actions very fast to help tourists. If police did not take actions fast when a tourist in trouble sri lanka social media and main stream media will make a big fuss about it even tv stations show about those. so the police take actions very fast. as a indian(or any other foreign tourist ) you will get faster response from the police and law enforcement if you were in trouble than regular sri lankan in trouble . In sri lanka if you are in trouble call police or tourist help hotline they will help you immediately. In Down south any sane robber will never rob a tourist(brown or white) . People will kill the robber or sent the robber to ICU even before the police arrive . People in those areas depend on the reputation because those areas classified as safe places to travel alone . So the people live in the area will never hesitate protect that reputation .

  I moved from Glasgow years ago now so I'm not sure on the rental market today but I spent a month in an airbnb and secured the flat within a month so you should be fine :)

  We went to cala dor 2 years ago, it's a gorgeous place and thr colour of the sea is amazing, was quite expensive to get eat out etc, even a burger King was €60! We enjoyed it, bit don't think I'll be back x

  Philippines is relatively safe to travel to as a solo female. I know cause I've done it 4 times. No one wants to go to jail over there cause its so brutal how inmates are treated. just avoid the muslim territories in the super south.
