I'm an Ilonggo and I speak both Kinaray-A (my main language) and Hiligaynon. Learning Bisaya/Cebuano will be quite useful and this video is my starting point.
its impressive for me knowing most of Bisaya people speaks 3 languages fluently: Bisaya, English, Tagalog. Language wise people.

You're really a very good teacher,my native language is Spanish but I learned English French and some more, so now I'm learning visaya with you ,that's great .only a suggestion. A language is questions and answers I'd wish in every video you make always try some question and possible responses in any life's situations, thanks so much for your videos, I'm learning a lot

This is very well explained and presented. I've been living in Surigao for many years but haven't learned Bisaya as it seems very difficult. I would like to make an effort to learn it and I think your channel can help me. Thanks very much.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much. My fiancé lives in Cebu. I am trying hard to learn Bisaya out of respect for her and her family. 🎷🙏🏼🇺🇸
Keep it up
Daghan Salamat. ❤
Salamat Jona! you are the best Bisaya teacher on line. Expressing the mood, context and ways each phrase can be applied brings far more meaning than just vocabulary. Every example brings new understanding as to how a phrase can be used in a situation. It has really helped me as an American when visiting and making local friends in the Visayas. If they struggle in english I can meet them half way and we learn from each other. It helps me show respect;… that I just dont expect everyone in my host country to cater to my language but I want to try to speak theirs; as feeble as it may be. 😅. When I get it right the reaction is priceless - relief and laughter of what came out of this foriener.😅. Im sure my American accent sounds funny too but it all helps rapport. If I stay there more than a couple months my local friends say I could be fluent and that would be fun.
Daghang salamat for these kind words. You keep me going.
thanks for the lesson!!! Bahog Bilat!!!
Wahahahha grabe who taught you that?😂😂
Maayong Gabii Jona. Salamat po for the lessons. i am learinig alot and my filipina is impress she ask who is teaching me po. are you familiar by chance with Illongo dialect?

Hi, im curious why "J" isn't included in traditional bisaya consonant? I am confused because of "jud"
Hi. Jud is just the modern version of gayud. To shorten it, we say jud. Hehehe. Jud means really.
Hi, I'm wongeebernard, a very new student to Bisaya, and your lesson is exceptional. Love the order of the lesson, the written feature, the pace of the lesson, and your very clear pronunciation. Look forward to studying all of your lessons.
This december im gonna live in dumaguete..need to learn it ❤ Jesus loves you evryone
Im an immigrant Filipino kid and I’ve always been able to understand fluently but never speak so this is super helpful :)
That was great and simple thanks
Thank you
You have a great channel, I subscribed. My goal is to learn Bisaya. Thank you!
Wow, I can’t even follow along. Way too fast and way too much vocab.
Omg, way too fast!
You ARE ONE OF the best teachers online but your use of "ok" to punctuate every phrase and sentence is extremely anoying 😢 try listening to one of your posts and count the number of times you say OK . 😊😊😊 your lessons would be half as long and rwice as interesting if you quit using "ok" in every sentence. .it's going to be a hard habit to break .but if you can do it you will go from being a good teacher to being an absolutely Superb teacher.
Thank you! 😃
So beautiful 🎉🎉🎉
does sakyanan and awto also work for car? Akong mga parents nag-ingon sakyanan ug awto. Also, unsa ang bisaya word for "parent(s)"?
I hope to use these one day!
Very good song! What does dying on or in Calvary mean and why is that good. Maayong trabaho! Language lessons have helped greatly however I’m learning Tagalog simultaneously since I talk to many Filipino speakers from Manila and Luzon in general. The Filipina I chat with most is in Davao City region in Malalag an hour south.
