    Fabulous and just what I've been looking for. Have some lovely soft chunky leftover from a project and this will do very nicely. Love the tip for keeping the cap from running off (very clever and why hadn;t I thought of that before lol!) and of course how to remove the water bottle by rolling it up first inside the cover. Love the accent too. Oh, what's not to like about this channel folks!

    Great pattern but what if my water bottle leaks and I have to replace it. I will have to make another one to fit my new one, because this cover doesn't come off the bottle.

  • @mohocrafts1407
    @mohocrafts14074 ай бұрын

    If you roll up your bottle inside the pouch bit you can get the whole thing out of the spout. I've had mine off several times to wash it. It's requires a bit of wiggling but it does come out and go back in.

    Really fun and great instructions, Alex. So excited you're doing this as I can follow you back in Montana too. Just wondering if I could wear the blanket on the plane for when I eventually go back if I were to make one, so I wouldn't have to pack it as suitcase weight!! ;) Do you know what the final blanket weight is? 💞

  • @mohocrafts1407
    @mohocrafts1407 Жыл бұрын

    I have done the very same thing on a flight back from New Zealand. I wrapped it up and carried it and said it was my calm blanket!!!! The final weight is 1.5kg if using chunky.

  • @mohocrafts1407

    You need to train it! It took me 3 weeks when I first started to get my left hand to obey but it is just about building up muscle memory. I tell all of my learners that you will feel very clumsy at first but after about 6 hours (cumulative, not continuous) it should start to feel less awkward.

  • @mohocrafts1407

    Of course you can crochet the base but the wooden ones save time and yarn and guarantee a flat base.
