No idea, what´s wrong with my email inbox, but I sent you an email from my 2nd email addy, so you could resend it once more and should reach me properly. In addition I shal comb my spam filter, if any mail of you got stuck there, perhaps. As for the colour, I´d describe it as a dark, blueish grey indeed. I wish, I had had my big zoom camera with me that day, so I´d have been able to show the work with the lines even better. But unfortunately had to record the footage with my smartfone only. The happier I am, that you still like the final result!

Hey klasse, danke für die Info! Wenn ich es recht erinnere, war die damals auf einen Werftbesuch angereist. Kann aber auch irgend ein Open Ship Event gewesen sein, hatten wir früher auch öfters mal.
@@amSeehafen Ja ! Als alten Emder tut mir immer vieles weh, wenn Marineschiffe zu Besuch kommen. Viele meiner Mitabiturienten ( Abi 1975 ) verdanken ihre Schulausbildung der Vollbeschäftigung bei den Nordseewerken. Im zivilen, und dann im militärischen Neubau.

although "boxy" they all have their own characters and are quite individual , like an extended family ! Daisy has strong colour and good graphics .I find the stern ramp design interesting on the carriers , it looks quite a feat of marine engineering .
She is brandnew, did you notice? We seem to have arrived in real summer meantime, pretty hot weather, thank God we´re in the coastal region, so we have some wind to make it more bearable...

Wenn ich mir das Video anschaue habt ihr die schönen Sommertage gut ausgenutzt. Was ein blauer Himmel. Ich sitze gerade auf dem Balkon und schaue den aufziehenden Gewittern zu. Emden scheint davon heute ja verschont zu bleiben. Auf Hamburg zieht einiges zu.
Gestern und Vorgestern war es so richtiger Bilderbuchsommer hier in Emden. Bin gespannt, wie es weitergeht...

Well, yesterday I watched (and filmed) one if the HAV vessels loading windcraft blades. Not sure, if they just are delievering them elsewhere on their voyage, or if they need them for the Faroes themselves though...

Yes it is, and as I told you - FAroer Island ships are anything else than rare catches in Emden Port, right? I wish, they traded other goods than mainly stones though. They really get me worried about their precious environment...

You might remember when I found that app which helps me the sketched intros? They also offer the chance to generate text to speech in any language desired. I was much in love with that option in the beginning, but you, Maurice and Radbod advised against and told me, you rather prefered the undisturbed sounds of nature and ships. That´s why I cancelled this project and merely kept the sketching hand.

Und aktuell blockiert die Amanda auf Grund liegend, die Hafeneinfahrt von Wangerooge. Der komplette Schiffs- und Fährverkehr zur Insel ist laut dem NDR eingestellt. kommt gut durch die warmen Sommertage. Ich bin gleich mal wieder in der alten Heimat Leer Eis essen.

Obwohl du es beim Filmen nicht gemerkt hast, hast du die sich bewegenden Gantrys an Bord doch super eingefangen. Hab ich so noch nie gesehen. Immer mal wieder was neues auf eurem Kanal
Ja, Du machst Dir ja keine Vorstellung, wie ich mich bei der Sichtung gegiftet habe, dass ich mit meinen alten Augen beim Filmen die rotierenden Gantrys übersehen habe! MAn sollte vielleicht wirklich nicht mehr Filmen wollen, wenn man schon so halb blind geworden ist, grummel!

Yes, I took it just very few days ago. I´m happy that you like my cutting work, because it was helluva tricky to carve a video for POZONI, because she overlapped so widely with the also blue inbound car carrier behind her. The process to nonetheless divide those two into properly separated videos kind of remembered of archeologists´work. I felt like kneeling in the dust and carefully brushing tiny bones and shards out of the sand...

Indeed she is a child (daughter?) of the German city Ihlow in our close neighbourhood. Dutch and East Frisian ships have a long and joint history together. I wish you both a cozy and restful night! 💕
those gantrys are massive and you have captured them in motion ! At first they look like part of the dockside equipment .must be a way of self loading/discharging her containers .
I fully agree, I just was so unfortunate, to discern those spinning gantrys no sooner than when I started my editing work at home! I bet you can imagine my shock, when I understood what I could have filmed, had only my weak old eyes noticed it on the tiny screen of my camera... Sod it...

Ja, genau, das ist auch die einzige Möglichkeit für uns aus der Ferne, ein Schiff im Baudock gut sehen und zeigen zu können, denn wenn das Dock erst abgesenkt ist, ragt das Schiff ja oben nicht mehr raus. Drum sind wir immer recht froh, wenn sich dieser Blick mal ergibt.
