    I love the dunes. My son is one of those kids that loves the two wheel thrill. Thank goodness he finally quit riding the tracks and bought a Revenge Racing Predator with an LS and a 2D but he has kept his 450 for the dunes. Fortunately he has never got a helicopter ride out of the dunes and has always been able to ride back to camp. but that thrill has came at a cost for him as well. I wish there were more folks that took the time and documented the equipment and dune experience like you. Keep up the good work. Have you ever thought of doing some content that helps explain to the newbies on techniques to help them experience the dunes more safely?

    I currently have the green light on and it will not go off, even after hitting the on/off button. In fact, nothing happens anymore. The fan does not run, but I suspect this is because it's in auto mode. Does anyone have a fix for this? Thanks

  • @DougsX5
    @DougsX516 күн бұрын

    The green light is the 75 degree hold temp light. If that is turned on it will automatically run the fan on and off to try and maintain a temperature of 75 degrees. It should go off by turning the fan off. One thing you can try is to turn the fan on, and if the green light is still on then press the 75 degree button and hold it until a long beep is heard release and then push the on/off switch once and the light and fan should turn off. Otherwise it may be turned on on your remote control. Hope this helps.

    Very good tutorial. Nicely done. I'd love to be able to turn off the fan and NOT have the lid close every time. I realize I can open the lid again (leaving the fan off), but there doesn't seem to be a way around this extra step. Wanting to turn off the fan and NOT closing the lid is something I do often. Am I missing something? (MaxxFan Deluxe 7500K)

  • @DougsX5
    @DougsX5Ай бұрын

    Thanks for the kind words about the tutorial! Unfortunately, on the MaxxFan Deluxe 7500K, there isn't a built-in way to turn off the fan and leave the lid open. The thermostat and fan are powered together so if you turn off the fan the lid will close, unfortunately the closing mechanism is linked to the fan operation. Manual is the only way.

  • @tomdiliberto4225
    @tomdiliberto4225Ай бұрын

    @@DougsX5 Thanks for the quick reply. I understand the explanation. It seems MaxxFan didn't think that one through. So often we stop needing the fan (e. g., after cooking or showering) but want to leave the lid open. Requiring the user to reopen the lid as an extra step is noisy and really should be unnecessary. Alas. Again, thanks.
