Thanks, not a lot of information on this one online, but from what I can see its in the HVAC plenum, you may be able to access it by removing the top center speaker and the HVAC controller. If not, full dashboard disassembly may be required, which is not for the faint of heart. The number of sensors depends on which HVAC system options the car is equipped with. Here is some good information: www.xbimmers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1982577&d=1548965227 You can also see a picture on bmws TIS or RealOEM (parts site) search by vin. @@jdmtechllc6589 Thanks, I recently have 9C5C when I used BimmerLink, and the description of the code is "sensor heat exchanger right" . Initially I had the symptom of blowing hot air on footwell while the dash AC vent is blowing cold, and the passenger side AC had weak blow. So I thought it might be the heater control valve, so I ordered the part from FCPEuro to replace, and the problem was solved after installation and erasing the code. But the problem reoccur after a few months, so I thought it might had been a defect Heater control valve I had, so I repeat the installation with new part in hope to get the problem address. 9C5C is the code keeps popping up which alert me the problem might be something else. So this time, I suspect it might be the heat exchange sensor right side. The only video I found across the entire web is this (kzread.info/dash/bejne/k2iCqsuhmtacdc4.html&ab_channel=Slowgan), and a post (www.bimmerfest.com/threads/right-heat-exchanger-22699-degrees-f-2016-535i.1415641/). I subscribed and thank you so much for your kind words. My dad was a truck driver both flat bed and box,,, he was a auto mechanic my whole life. Drove a big rig wrecker and car hauler. We lived in Freeport Maine for some time and he drove a state snow plow. He could stand beside any vehicle and tell you what was wrong with it. He painted anything and has a paint booth. He welded bracket for his flat bed trainer. Made tools out of tools to suit his work . Build our home and furniture in it. Made tunnels under the eaves upstairs by making dressers and we could crawl from on side of the house to the other S children. He fished and boated . He was my hero. He painted snap on trucks and put decals on them I got to be the bubble girl. I am the oldest child he wanted a boy, so I got to learn about tools mechanic ones and wood ones. He could go from any part of country to any city hauling a load and was never late using maps no cell phone no GPS back then. I learned that you did your best cause it's your bane on the job and that was your integrity. If you borrowed some thing you brought it back clean and full of fuel. Always.. I miss him ever hour of everyday. I learned no matter what you didn't use excuses and you kept your word .

@@jdmtechllc6589 Hey, I have a 98 slt ext cab 4x4. I have approximately 325k on the drivetrain. Front and rear seals leaked. I ran low on transmission fluid. Out in the middle of nowhere to find fluid. Had to drive it. By the time I limped in to a sheetz it wouldn’t hardly move. The tranny was whining by this time. Parked it and came by the next day with a car trailer. Stuck it in my buddy’s garage. We jacked it up and pulled from the rear. Big mistake, I think. Should have pulled it from the front along with engine. It took us I swear 2 days to get the tranny separated from the transfer case. For some reason it was stuck on. I don’t live in the rust belt so that wasn’t the issue. Got it all out and started looking at my tranny. I knew it needed a pump because of the whining. The rear shaft is tight with no play noticeable. I pulled part of the guts out and they appear good. So I ordered a pump, a torque converter, I’m replacing cooling lines from tranny to the oil cooler. I’m going to put new bushings in, and adjust the bands. Putting in new speed sensor and universal joints. I think the trans is going to be okay. It’s always been serviced and other than the leaks hasn’t been a problem. I just don’t know if I’m over looking something. I’m also working on the floor with the truck on jacks. Putting a new trans mount, and rear main seal, and pan gasket on the engine. I have sitting in my garage a rebuilt 5.9 that I may put in place of the 5.2 if the tranny works out. Thanks for listening

@jdmtechllc6589Ай бұрын
Hello friend thank you for viewing and commenting. What year and how many miles are on the vehicle in question? Did you spill when adding? The slope of the engine causes any spill to run back and off the passenger side usually. Also, some BMW mounts are in fact oil filled. Call your local BMW and give them the last 7 characters if your VIN for a more specific answer. Lastly a leaking valve cover gasket can also cause this. Then I order a few different sizes. I believe it has an ag6hp26z gearbox underneath. Greetings, Koen The Netherlands

Thanks for watching and commenting on the video, your kind words are much appreciated. I would double check the sealing tubes to ensure that you have them in their correct locations based on their lengths vs. the depths of each hole, also I would advise resetting the adaptive factors with a proper scan tool; Additionally, I would recommend doing the above items first this way you can look on the side of the valve body where you can see the spacer plate number easily as they cost roughly $60usd each, good luck my friend, provide follow up, retrace your steps like a forensic scientist and come back here to provide a follow up. That’s not a fix. I’ve got two impacts and two drills from Ko alt and they all do that exact same thing. I want to see a permanent fix not a temporary one.
Its a dirty trigger Take it apart and hit it with a couple bursts of CRC Electronics cleaner, red can at your local auto parts shack
Awesome I appreciate it 😊

Cheap… Needs a trigger cleaning, should have been better sealed to prevent the problem
nice video, do you happen to know where is the heat exchange sensor ? and how many are there ?
Thanks, not a lot of information on this one online, but from what I can see its in the HVAC plenum, you may be able to access it by removing the top center speaker and the HVAC controller. If not, full dashboard disassembly may be required, which is not for the faint of heart. The number of sensors depends on which HVAC system options the car is equipped with. Here is some good information: www.xbimmers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1982577&d=1548965227 You can also see a picture on bmws TIS or RealOEM (parts site) search by vin. Or visit your local BMW Dealer, good luck 👍🏽
Hopefully what I found can help someone with similar situation.
My whole life my dad was a mechanic. Everything you're doing is exactly how he did it. He passed away three springs ago and I tell you what I miss him every day I learned a lot from my dad. And now I'm learning a lot from you. Thank you sir.....

Nice thank you :D

is that crystillisation of the coolant in the old pump the result of the wrong coolant or the result of mixing coolants that dont work together? I have florescent green coolant in my 3 series e90 and have done 30,000 kms since i bought it (was green before also). I just put on a new pump and thermostat and then both looked very clean inside.
Could also be a stop leak miracle fix in a bottle additive. 😎
Where is the follow up video?
😬 what would you want it to show? 🫡
You are using pre-diluted coolant. Do not add water, distilled or otherwise, to it.

Keep going! I’m putting a used transmission in a truck now. Some tips would be helpful. Thanks in advance
Tell me more details about your installation. Thanks for watching friend!
Also fill that baby with fresh trans fluid before hooking up the lines😉
Thank you
You're welcome
do these engine mounts have oil in them? i have e90 320i and i see oil leaking from passenger side engine mount and i am not sure where its coming from, i recently changed my engine oil
Provide some follow up as it may help others, thanks again, hope this helped, like and subscribe!
@@jdmtechllc6589 thank you for your reply, below is the details of my vehicle Model: E90 2008 Miles: 110,000 Vin: AH23963 part no: 22116768853 no there was no oil spilled when changing oil. i have checked everywhere but i see no leaked gasket, even the engine oil level shows the same every time but oil is still dripping from somewhere and i am guessing it might be from engine mount.

Hello your videos are great. I have a BMW x6 e71 35d xdrive 2009 As a precaution, I changed my oil and sealing rubbers and now the engine stalls when I reverse with a cold engine. I now want to overhaul the valve body, I just don't know which one Separator plate I need, I would rather not disassemble everything first to see which plate is in between, my question is what is the most commonly used separat plate With this type of BMW?
