I don’t think the spark plug socket needs to have all them sides to it but I do think I’ll need a spark plug 14mm
👍🏽
Hi I bought from eBay
I'll be doing an oil change on one of these soon. I take it you replace the oil seals on the oil filter stem and cap? Also, I couldn't quite see where the oil level was on the dip stick when you brought it to the camera, was it to the top of the hatched area on the dip stick, or the TOP "crease"mark?, as there looks to be a lower and top crease mark. Cheers.
yes crease in the top
@@jaysworkshopgarage Nice one.
Can green antifreeze be poured instead of this pink antifreeze?
no definitely not
@@jaysworkshopgarage why?

Sorry my friend I think you can buy a repair kit tabs if I remember correctly
Why take both bolts out just spin it down or up mate too fit pads
you can do
Do you know when the distribution of this engine starts to cause problems? I have one with 130000 km
to be honest haven’t had one with that problem yet
Cada cuanto tiempo cambias las bujias Gracias por tu trabajo
Personally I change every year but depending on how many miles/kilometres you drive thanks
you can suck oil from out of the dipstick hole, much easier, as under these cars there is a plastic protector , which is a pain to remove. . plus use a SOCKET type oil filter remover, much easier AND use a Torque Wrench to tighten sump plug + spark plugs. OR JUST GO TO A MECHANIC , much safer
sure but doesn’t take out 100% also all the burnt oil will sit in bottom of sump
@@jaysworkshopgarage thats true, but its much easier , and that burnt oil will mix in with 3.5L of new oil , so will barely make a difference. BUT i think most people should go to a mechanic to get this done, I can see a lot of people stripping the sump plug thread, or any thread really , they dont know how to judge tightening a bolt
where do you get the parts for it ? The cold air intake looks insane !

376 / 5.000 Hello friend, thank you for sharing your video, but doing a complete tune-up, you are missing several very important things. Change the fuel filter, remove the injectors and wash them with ultrasound, remove and clean the throttle body, scan and check if there are any fault codes, in the turbo, what you did is not a tune-up, but well, it starts with something.
Thanks for information but I just done what customer requested
Eso en el inglés qué tiene el volante a la derecha. Pero en el español con el volante a la izquierda?????

Thanks mate never done brake pads. Followed this worked like a charm for my 07 getz ❤

What year is your Golf 6? Exactly :)

Hiya, I have a 2013 1.4tsi, and the engine starts then dies after 5secs, engine sounds fine, any Idea what's up? (scanner doesn't connect) tested the fuel pump and that's ok...
I would have said fuel pump or immobiliser initially but without a full diagnostic is hard to tell
@@jaysworkshopgarage it's acting like an immobiliser, but I don't think it has one, unless it's VW's. It might be the throttle body or throttle pedal?
@@miamimo70 it does definitely have an immobiliser try disconnecting the battery put key in ignition turn the key to on position leave it there then reconnect battery and try restart
@@jaysworkshopgarage thank you, will try that!
Thanks. Useful

I came back to my car last week with the glass just missing but the baseplate still in place. There was no broken glass on the ground. There was no sign that anyone had hit the car. Does this happen? Can the glass just fall off ?
Thanks for the video going to do my sons vw polo this week

I just tried to fo an oil and filter on the same car. The oil filter is so tightly on I can't budge it. I tried the 30mm socket and ratchet but the socket-shaped part just snapped off the oil filter. I've had to order a filter removal tool.....
sorry to hear that try grabbing from outside with oil filter wrench or other grips also will definitely recommend replacing the oil filter housing if the old one gas snapped off
Thanks for the helpful video. I wish manufacturers would put a small flap in the engine undertray to give oil filter access without having to remove the whole undertray.
definitely agree
My golf 1.4 16v burning oil what should i do their is no smoke when start ..
sounds like piston rings problem very common on 1.4 and very expensive to fix
La vidange à30 000 kilomètres et tout les 2 ans ?
i change my oil every 5,000 miles always any car i owned
A few tips for a better end result. Warm up the engine first. Remove the oil filler cap. These steps aid the flow of old oil once the sump plug and filter are removed. Also, these EA211 engines are very sensitive to overfill. Refill with 3.5L to start, make sure the car is as flat & level as possible, run the engine for a minute, then check the oil level and add a little more at a time to reach max. Manufacturer states 3.8L total. If you overfill by even a small amount, you'll get overpressure in the turbo, and oil in the exhaust system, neither of which are good for the car.
You sound very knowledgeable thanks for in depth advice will take on board 👍🏽
Is the piston screw back or push back
push back
It's my boys ST I done them the day. Yes the front were but the back were screw in. Thanks anyway
Thank you so much, great video with so much detailed information

Hello friend, I have an error in cylinder N°3, vw polo 9n, I checked with obd2, but I would like to be sure if it is the coil... question: if I change the coil to another cylinder N°2, and the error appears on n2, does it mean I have to replace the coil? am I correct? hug🫡

Hey I can't do it 2:26 it's not moving. How to take it off?

A cuánto van calibradas las bujias?
I just do from experience I’m not exactly sure
Hey mate, great work, I've done all of it for my Avensis T25. Only thing I think you put the pollen filter upside down, I've done it as well haha. I know that the brand name position is misleading as in the correct position is upside down. The air flow is directed up, towards windscreen. I had to fix mine just after one day after realising what I've done :) Have a good one.
thanks
Many thanks for the info. Changed my oil and filter with no problems. Managed to get a standard 32mm socket and universal joint in the space for the oil filter. For info, used MANNOL 7921 LEGEND FORMULA C5 0w20 oil which is BMW Longlife 17 FE+ compatible and a MAHLE OX 1146D Oil Filter.
Many people are starting to use mannol oil now
