I'm a fairly new Atiny (going on probably 6months now?) My (now) 9 yr old got fully caught up in BTS during the pandemic, and from then I screened so much Kpop because at the time she was so young and I wanted to be sure she wasn't hearing or reading anything inappropriate for her age. I've been screening literally every Kpop band I can ever since, just to make sure I'm familiar with the bands... and I got to Ateez. By the time I got to Ateez, I was already incredibly keen on BTS simply because of how often my kiddo was listening to their music and how often we were watching their Run BTS episodes and etc, and had been listening to the music in my own free time (alongside Beomhan, who she absolutely adores, Astro, EXO and Stray kids) I'm a metalhead overall, but I vibe with anything that gives me serotonin and I'm open minded. ANYWAY. The very first song I'd heard was Halazia, and I was absolutely hooked. Became an immediate fan of Yeosang because of his voice and I just bought my first ever KPOP album yesterday (Ateez, ofc). This song has to be one of my absolute favorites. It has so many elements of other genres that I adore (synth/mild symphonic, especially) I've had this song on repeat for a couple weeks now and I'm not sick of it in the slightest. ❤

I love to hear about other parents whose kids enjoy kpop! My seven year old absolutely adores Ateez, Stray Kids and BTS. I'm not too worried about the lyrical content when it comes to him as he does not speak English or Korean, yet. Also Silver Light has been one of my top songs lately!

@@michellemadsenreacts kids are amazing , honestly. It's so much fun to watch them blossom and find themselves with their likes/dislikes. I think, for me, with the lyrical content it came down to how often she was reading the English translations to try to understand the language overall... And there's a lot of metal songs that I don't allow her to listen to even if it's my favorite band. Ofc there are bands like KARD that are on the 'absolute banned list' for a few more years LOL. I allow her to listen to otherwise questionable songs with vague euphemisms that she can't really understand yet due to her innocence, but she's at the age now where she's understanding certain things a bit more (yay, public school!). It's so funny because she was all about metal until the moment she heard BTS and saw Jimin's face. After that, it was ONLY Kpop for her, which I felt nostalgic about because I remember in the early 90s and being 8, hearing Hanson's MMMBOP for the first time and remaining an obsessed fan until I was 14 lol. (And I do still love them!) She's been learning Korean for almost 3 years now, too. And I'm SOOOOOO obsessed with Silver Light 😭 I've played it 12 times just in the last few hours.

It is amazing how Ateez only has good music and known to everyone, all are wonderful and self -astral, are songs that give you chills listening to their voices live, which precedes in studio, jongho my dear, your vocal makes me levitate, wow. .. And Mingi was sick, so he was drinking more water, he was disrupted that his voice fails, but gave a show. . @@michellemadsenreacts For real, and I have another trivia for you. I'm glad that you pointed out San's different delivery during Fireworks, because that was not exactly his choice. Not so long ago San revealed that he had to change his way of singing because he risked some serious problems to his throat (I've heard that the vocal chords were bleeding, not sure if it's real or just a hyperbole but still). So he was forced to change his approach to singing and that's why he sounds different in some of their older songs. Anything for his health but to be honest his voice is as amazing as ever and I had no idea that he had such problems

@@michellemadsenreacts Yeah probably San was using a wrong vocal technique and luckily he corrected his way of singing before it was too late. Honestly to me he sounds even more amazing than the beginning, so probably not only he corrected his technique but also found the best suited for his beautiful voice. Glad he is doing okay, I cannot imagine Ateez without San's angelic voice
