Carl’s Jr was the biggest offender when it came to this type of false advertising with sandwiches that look nothing like the one’s you get in the restaurant and exaggerated crunchy sound effects.

Hi mate, I have my first VM today. I bought it at the flea market with only one disc and I fell in love with a diorama set about koala brothers, amazing views. I'm going to start searching for other diorama sets. It could be hard to find. Thanks for sharing your cool video.

Terrific video. Played when I was a kid. The thing that made it unbelievably cool were the periscopes. You could watch your opponent trying to find your subs and avoid the mines. That made it ten times more exciting. Brilliant game and brilliant video. Thanks so much!

News flash! I've noticed that this model has a towing hitch on the back of the tractor. And I have seen a picture of the same machine hooked up to a big farm Series John Deere baler and a thought, oh that's what the hitch is for. Yay!! Cross compatibility!!!!!

My dad and I went to Cincinnati during the Christmas season of 63 ( I was 8 yrs old) to buy my mom her Christmas present and I had seen the commercial for this game on TV and requested it for Christmas. At the McAlpin's Department Store in the toy section I saw the game display. The store manager kindly gave us the empty box on display and I sat in the car with that box on my lap all the way home dreaming of playing it. When I finally got the game on Christmas it did not disappoint and I fondly remember my friends and I playing this game in a dark room which allowed us to see better with the game putting off this amazing green glow in the darkness. So glad I grew up in America during that amazing time. So sad for my granddaughters growing up in this pale comparison of a great nation brought to her knees by liberal insanity.

Yes, it is fine to open these! I found a Gun Grinner new in box for a great price recently. I went home and opened it. I now have a pristine vintage toy that displays on a shelf and at times my desk. The experience of opening it was like going back in a time machine getting home after a trip to Toys R Us. Would do it again in a heart beat. Great video and nice find of those animation references!

I had this game when I was 9 and 10. Your comment that today's kids couldn't figure it out. That made me burst out laughing. Are kids that slow to follow game rules but they can figure out computer use?

Ive actually been modifiying one I was able to get off ebay a couple months ago. Its missing the windshield and extra tire, but so far the mods are coming out pretty good. I ended up sanding off those headlights in the front, as the real life Chitty has those connected to the front of the chasis/ headlight+license plate bracket (not to the actual bonnet itself as the toy has it), and instead she has some separately fitted headlights I found that were perfect for the scale. At the moment I am painting/ applying the handbrakes that would be found at her right hand side. Anyways, thanks for the review, helped me get the idea to try this project out.

I really liked these toys but my parents didn’t have a lot of money. There was one guy in our neighborhood who had it however. He invited me over and next thing I knew, I was in heaven playing with all of these fantastic toys. Next thing after that I realized was that I had spent the last 23 years being raped in a basement. Oh well.
