I'm a brand new sewer.. love this idea.. no clue what I did wrong. My shirt sleeves are sewn on inside of shirt once turned right side out and the arm holes are sewn shut. . Lol.

Sounds like you sewed all the way through it/had the fabrics laying on top of each other in regards to the armholes. Maybe get a seam ripper, rewatch and try again? only two layers of fabric should be together at any time, so flannel to shirt. Never flannel touching flannel or shirt to shirt

How would you put steel loop rivets in to make it look more like a corset in front? I seen one and it looked very similar to yours except the steel loops on each side of the shirt held together with a leather cord. Great job!

Also for people that don't have sewing machines. I think you could use double sided heat and bond. I think I'd probably use both heat and bond then reinforce with stitching. PS: I love your videos!!!

@@Somethingflava thank you!! also @9:40 you said you lined the lining up to the bottom so did you line it up the inside of the jacket/batting with the inside of the liner or did you line up the right side of the jacket wit the right side of the lining. this would be my first time sewing that’s the only part i’m confused about
@Somethingflava2 жыл бұрын
You’re welcome! And in this video I did the right side of my liner to the right side of my jacket/ batting. The blanket fabric would be sandwiched between the batting and lining and not visible! I wish you luck on your sewing journey 🪡
