I love to pan for gold but on this channel I will try to bring you on a variety of adventures like metal detecting. I really like the beaches but I live almost 3 hours away from the ocean. I do, however have access to such places as the crown point road which is the 1700's military road that runs through this area and there a lot more historical landmarks to explore. I will also be hiking and exploring local history and points of interest. I love the outdoors and I hope you will enjoy watching as we explore Vermont. If there is something you would like to see or something that I can be doing better let me know. I am new to this and welcome any advice and comments.
I welcome emails at [email protected]

right on thanks for the show n tell
Good job Scott
Nice video! Was he classifying all the material into the Angus or running it all through?
He was just running it through
Great spot.
Would love to see the goldibox and the GMtGold trap side by side and see how the capture rate compares. I’m getting ready to buy a mini sluice and the Goldi is a much nicer price point for me!!
Hi Scott, been watching the goldibox in a few other videos for a while. Looks like it would be a great compliment to my angus mackirk. The one on the website is black and says 20”…is that the same as yours? Yours looks longer than 20” Thanks and get the gold!!
Hi there, this is Larry from GoldiBox (3DProspecting on KZread). We are the official makers of the GoldiBox Fluid Bed Sluice, GoldiBox Backpack Dredge and GoldiBox 2" Suction Nozzle (more coming). We made Scott a custom all-black version which he showcased in this video. Unfortunately, the first Fluid Bed he bought from us earlier in the year had a manufacturing defect. We diagnosed the issue and have eliminated the problem completely. I am not sure what website you are referring to, but we have not posted the all-black version on the website yet. We will be releasing 3 new colors in the coming weeks- Midnight Black, Deep Purple and Blue Dream. I am not sure where you saw the all black version. The original version is green & black. And yes, the lengths of Scott's box and the ones we sell are 20". - hope this helps
@@3DProspectingsorry if I was confusing. I saw the black one and the green/black on Scott’s video. I only saw the green one on your site, wasn’t sure if they were the same. Thanks!
Cook that stuff off.
Hi Scott, It's amazing to see how much the water has dropped in just a couple of months but I'm glad to see Buffalo Brook keeps producing for you. You're going to have to start diverting the creek soon to get consistent flow or start doing dry washing videos.😀 Thanks for showcasing the GoldiBox Fluid Sluice in the video. Much appreciated. You're right, the texture on the deck is to hold onto the material better. It allows for better stratification before hitting the grizzly/trap. The texture works even better in faster flows. It also makes the entire sluice more 'grippy' so it is easier to handle and less prone to dropping. That was some pretty small gold you found. It's always a bummer though when it gets coated with amalgam. There's been days when I've found some nice pickers that I add to the day's general population vial only to find when I get home, the mercury from the smaller gold leeched on them making them look not so nice. I hope it's ok to mention here - we're having a 4th of July sale and the GoldiBox Fluid Bed Sluice Boxes are $20 off with free shipping. Sale ends 7/9. Thanks again for showcasing the GoldiBox. - Larry
I’m sure you have answered this a million times. Is it 100% above board to run bazooka or is everyone just taking a chance.
Taking a chance. I wish I could say different.
@@802OutdoorAdventures thanks. I’m gonna be headed over that way soon and I suppose I will be taking a chance as well 😀
Hey thank you so much for this video I'm going to get into this whole thing I have a friend says he knows where honey hole is on private property so if there's really anything there we're going to want some really good toys
best of luck!
Do you know of any places southern vt by chance I'll be heading out with my grandsons later in the week and we live by Springfield MA Worst case we drive 2+ hrs😂 and visit my cousin in by Rutland
I usually don't get much further south than plymouth but if you going to rutland, the cold river has gold in it.
@@802OutdoorAdventures thanks
What is the most material you will generally run before you do a clean out?
If im using a gold trap I will clean out after a=every bucket I run or about every hour if im shoveling right into it. I just like to see what im getting as i go. Gives me more cons to play with as well.
Great times indeed fam. Keep at it. Gold Squad Out 🤠
I’ve never gotten much aside from dust. Clearly I can’t read a brook or I’m doing something very wrong 😑
Keep the faith brother!
I went up Saturday and only got 2 small fly poops . I was up river ( i believe) from where you guys have been going .think i was there about 4 to 5 hours and moved on , iv yet to have a good day there .
It's tough. I have more bad days than good up there.
Good day on the brook 🎉
Nice gold brother!
I almost stopped there Saturday but want to hale . You going back up next weekend Scott
I hope so.
Looks like a great day!! Was good to meet ya this spring. I'd be happy with pans like that!!
Great job all around fam. Keep at it. Gold Squad Out 🤠
Well finally went to buffalo yesterday and had great time
Excellent! I hope brought home some gold!
You talk to much, get with it, test , test abd test.
😂
The last time I was up there was terrible. All that extra fill from the storm really messed things up . Gold was found but LOTSSSS of digging had to be done .
It has not changed much.
Nice set up brother!
I love it.
Sweet area!!!
Nice color! Still don’t get how the bazooka is legal but my favorite angus mackirk foreman is not. Seems to do the same job and process the same amount of material 🤷🏻
One of these days I will find out if it is legal or not. More than likely it will come with a fine but like I say, with every education, there is always a little tuition.
@@802OutdoorAdventures I mean no offense by my comment at all. I totally understand motorized and mechanized units being banned, I just do not understand why simple sluices of stream sizes are any different than panning by hand. You’re simply moving a shovel of gravel from the creek thru the water and back to the creek bed. Would love a bazooka or similar but $$$ is definitely priced too high for me. 🤝
No offense taken. I don't understand it either.
Have you panned the stuff caught in that top cavity separate from the mat?
I have not but that is a good idea.
Great day out there fam. Keep on having fun getting that Au and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
Nice looking gravel bar with some good color.
Scott, best of luck out there
Enjoyed this buddy! Nice drone footage and glad you won a new toy!
Great video Scott .... enjoyed seeing the drone video .... that is cool !!!
Seems like theres alot of material on top under the mat, WOW
Great video Scott 👍🏻 we had a blast to spring rendezvous and it was nice meeting and chatting with you. Hopefully we can get out this summer and do some prospecting
It was really fun and I enjoyed hanging out with and chatting with you also.
Great times!
thought you would have taken cons home to run on the cleanup-buddy
I did but there was very little gold to show and, I'll be honest here, I use another camera set up on a tripod to film the clean up buddy when I do that. Apparently when you start the video and you are not paying attention and hit the shutter button it only takes a picture. I was so mad at myself and combined with the lack of gold I didn't feel like re-filming it.
I'm a star. Great to meet you. For everyone else that's watching pay attention to where those dredges are. These are great gold catches all summer long.
Great to see you
Great to see you
great to see you as well. It was a fun time
Amazing place with a ausome group of people. 👍😎⚒️🎩G.P.
Is this private property? New to gold panning…back from Florida. . .ready to try my luck….summering in and around Montpelier…..
that is state land. buffalo brook in plymouth vt.
Thank you for your information. . .really like your videos. . .love the Vermont mountains and the good air to breathe. . .got to put up with what is in Florida but it is nice to wake up to blue skies and 75 degrees - sunshine most of the winter.
Great video ! We subbed to your channel Brian is a nice guy. We met one of Brian’s counterparts last week in Ohio . Tony he too dives on the wild ranger with Brian. Great job panning 👍😎🎩⚒️
Thank you so much.
Sus, no fucking way he's finding nugs like this. 100% this is an ad for his buddy.
Nice paydirt indeed fam. Keep on having fun getting that Au and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
Thats awesome!!! I really want to get some of his paydirt!! It was great meeting you! Last weekend!
Nice meeting you as well. I hope next time we get a chance to chat some.
@802OutdoorAdventures ya I was a little overwhelmed with so many good prospectors in one spot.. one of these days we can hit the river
Great to finally meet you. If you have a hand suction dredge. Come on back over to the wild. After the event every year I run around and hit all the dredge holes. It's not always the stuff that they miss that I get. It's the recent deposits that wash out of the gravel in front of their holes. Lots of gold to be had easy pickings You're just going to get wet.
I bought 2
Like that, Brother 802nd🤠👌🇵🇷
Great to see you this weekend!
I was up there in mid april. Brought home 8 gallons of rock and dirt. Gone through most of it, and notthing so far
