  I wasn't actually asleep when it happened. It was before sleep. I'd lie in bed, waiting to get tired enough, and I would feel that "feeling" that that presence was in the room. At the times that the feeling came on a little bit gradually, or gave me some warning, I was able to get up and turn on the light or get my Bible. Other times, it came on like a ton of bricks, and all at once. Again, I was completely awake, but hoping to get sleepy enough to doze off. I experienced these attacks for eight years, from age 21-29. The end of them was less than a year after I quit drinking. It was always when the room was completely dark and I was alone. I am convinced that raising my vibration brought an end to it.
