  Beautiful video. Brings back many fond memories. I lived in a small apartment building at 1012 2nd St. in 1972, 1973. Was a 1 and 1/2 room 2nd floor apt. which was $140.00 a month. It was torn down years ago to make room for much nicer multi-story high rent apartments. Walked this area of Ocean Ave. and walked up and down the California Incline with my towel, beach blanket and beach chair regularly. The view from Palisades Park out toward the ocean is a view I will always treasure. Was 25 years old at the time, am 78 now and living back in Massachusetts. Would never forget to mention I met Arnold Schwarzenegger while there. He was known because of his Mr. Olympia bodybuilding title, not yet a movie star or Governor. He was often out walking on Wilshire Blvd. late afternoon/early evening. Thanks for posting your video.

  16:41 time stamp, the rust colored condo between the two white colored condos is where Sean Penn brother Christopher Penn lived and died of heart failure back in January 2006.

  We were in SM between April and June and walked along the ocean exactly along the same trail every single day. It is so emotionally to experience it again now we're back in Europe. We miss it so much. Love you guys x

  I was born in Santa Monica in 1944. Watched it grow from a tranquil beach city to the crowded bustling city it is currently. Sixty years ago, the 10 freeway expansion forced my gramma from her beloved home to make room for freeway. The city boomed in population. As a very elderly person, it seems just yesterday life was so sweet for locals.

  This is the city I’m supposed to be so afraid of? In seven lengthy videos on recent SM, I haven’t seen one tent, not one homeless derelict, not one piece of trash. Only people walking with their kids (a woman with a stroller here), people riding bikes, clean streets all over and spotless beach area. Hmmmm.

This is the sixth lengthy video I’ve seen, taken in recent weeks and I haven’t seen one homeless tent, not one derelict or piece of trash Just kids and their parents, people on bikes and the usual tourist buzz.The beaches are clean and the streets are spotless. Hmmmm.

  LA contains of many different area. Santa Monica is the area with high cost rent, because of it you can’t see what you describe in the comment. I think somobedy controlls the order in this part of LA.

  Some people on KZread are clearly lying about conditions in SM. This is the fifth lengthy video I’ve watched taken in recent weeks that show not one homeless tent or derelict Notnon the main streets not on the Third St. Promenade, not on the beaches. I just see lots of people walking with their kids, people on bikes and the usual tourist buzz.
