  As always, fantastic content! The place is amazing. Those luxurious interiors, the casino, and all the opulence remind me a bit of Macau, where we were in March. I'm glad you guys had such a great time. By the way, I bet there are around 125 superyachts in Monaco.

  I recently came back from Kefalonia and Zakynthos. Preferred Kefalonia much more. Zakynthos is way overcrowded(even though it was nowhere near peak season), and kinda boring. Kefalonia is way more laid back, you can really enjoy the nature, great roads, great views, mountains. Also some really nice beaches. Driving around Kefalonia was a pure pleasure compared to Zakynthos, with all it's traffic, and tons of older Brits and Germans riding quads...

  After working a season in Switzerland Prince Rainier and family dined at the small Hotel I worked in Switzerland and my then boss gave the 'kids' ski lessons. David Niven also dined there. Had an offer of a job in Monaco in the seventies, but didn't take it. Happy in OZ.

  A tip from someone who has been to Monaco there are so many hotels in Monaco and around in Beausoliel, Cap-d'Ail, Menton, Roquebrune- Cap-Martin. The first time I went to Monaco we stayed at Novotel Monte-Carlo Hotel it is an Accor hotel which means points for those with Accor accounts and Air France accounts.In addition, it is in a great location 5 minutes walk from the Casino square 3 minutes walk to the closest pharmacy and surrounded by cafe's and restaurants such as as Cooks (an Italian restaurant 30 seconds walk away from the Novotel Hotel). Finally Novotel is a great hotel in regards to location because if you got to train into Monaco it is not a long journey Novotel is across the road literally opposite one of the entrances to the train station!

  A great little place to overnight is in Cap. I'd drive south from Zuri to Genoa, head west to Cap, grab a decent little room and catch the little train to watch the F1. Similar deal with Cannes but never during the Festival.
