I waited 10 months for Yamaha to ship a Kodiak 450!! and after contacting them they STILL couldn't give me a date for delivery, said it could even be another 10 months....... Yeah I'm not waiting 2 damn years to get an ATV. I went with a 22 sportsman 570 Trail and out of the 600 miles I've put on it so far, I haven't had one single issue.

Running a K&N air filter on any recreational vehicle is just asking for premature engine wear. If you your not changing your oil very frequently and cleaning and oiling your air filter after every ride then in due time it'll be burning oil because the piston rings will be shot. And by the looks of the air filter in the video and your comments about it being dirty, it's not being properly maintained. If you want 100% proof, next oil change send a sample of the used oil to a lab and get tested. Without a doubt it'll show results for contaminates that will cause early wear. Their plenty of videos with oil tests and oil filter tests with lab results when using K&N air filters in vehicles. And removing the restrictor plates is just adding fuel to the fire 🔥.

Firstly if you admit you had to charge belts often due to you doing "stupid stuff" chances are the other major issues having something do with "stupid stuff" too lol. Those first problems you mentioned are pretty typical of just plain abusing the machine beyond what's its intended for. I've put tens of thousands of miles on multiple sportsmans now in rugged Terrain zero issues. That being said, you are bound to get a machine out of so many produced with issues thats for sure.
