    “We often have to let go of things that we feel very identified with” “young and new actors almost think that’s who I am, I am the set of habits this is what I do in this situation” “We are hard wired to see and repeat patterns in our life” “change means we have to let go” great points 👍🏾 I learned from another video do another activity. Also I liked when you said “imagine that they can develop they can grow” “& that they have to come to terms of the possibility that they are not done physically that they’re not fully formed” great video 👍🏾

    It's not a misnomer. Stanislavski called it his system. Stella Adler worked with him for like a month in France and came back and said we're doing the system wrong and Strassberg said it's not his system it's my method. Method is simply the word that Strassberg branded his interpretation and reinvention of his study of Stanislavki's work. The goal is the same. Strassberg actors are more focused on being open and emotionally available...they tend to be very quick to show you that too...Strassberg actors are careful to not work off of tramatizing material, especially these days. Lee did say it should be seven years in the past. It should be something you have dealt with and can safely work from. Meisner actors are more likely to have been taught to stick with the imagination as you've said, identify the dominant emotional condition on top of the scene, day dream something that never happened but could and allow that to fuel the first moment, then work off of your partner. Meisner actors are much more in tune to take pinches from their partners reacting to the truth of the moment. The Method actors who have done that seem to have figured out they need it along the line rather than it being something they've really been trained to do. My question these days is how does Flanigan Studio compare to Esper's?

    I have no formal training as an actor but have always wanted to become one since I was a kid. I live in the Syracuse area and am wondering if anyone has any advice on where a begginer should go to start learning to actually act? I've been writing for practically my whole life and have acted in a few little movies that I've written. I'm a musician and can sing pretty well. I'm also a really good stand-up comedian and improv comic.

    This video was five years ago, is it better than it is now? I think the number of young American actors with great talent has increased in recent years. I feel that way when I'm watching Emmy Awards. I think that the number of TV shows has increased due to the big streaming service, and good young American actors have been discovered. If possible, please let us know your current opinion in the comments.

    More british actors in Hollywood than ever, they make up 90%

  • @delrey874
    @delrey8743 жыл бұрын

    @@hallowedproductions3334 Are there British actors in 90% of the movies and TV shows produced in Hollywood? Where is the source? The activities of these foreign actors are conspicuous, but I think they are only a small part of the total. Hollywood makes more than 660 movies a year, most of them the work of American actors.

    You're a fool, Sandlan. The real reason why British (as well as Canadian, Irish and Australian) actors are now beginning to dominate both our big and small screen is because the Hollywood elites are not exactly patriotic, and that's putting it very, very mildly. And like you, they claim it's "because they're better trained than American actors". Give me a break. The REAL reason is because people from those countries are notoriously left-wing. Hell, they make US Democrats look right-wing. The Hollywood elite does not want talented artists, they want foot soldiers for their leftist, socialist, globalist agenda. They need to bring more and more of them into the US to dominate our big and small screens, win awards, step up to the podium, bash America and promote very un-American ideas, like open borders and gun control.

    British actors have taken over Hollywood. British actors are just more clinical in pulling off the character than American actors.

    Yeah but most of them are boring to watch. They might give competent performances, but that aint everything. Movies have never been worse than they are today--never more formulaic, never less interesting. Perhaps the abundance of dependable, so called "stage-trained" British and Australian actors is just part and parcel of this new risk-averse hollywood. Boring movies, boring actors--all very dependable and good-looking, but you can have em.

    Is that true? I don't know. Alot of Americans complain that there kids do and want to get Theater degrees at conservatories and universities. Why do you even need it. They say. Study math or nursing or engineering. Something useful. Instead they got a degree in theater for what? What is that if not training.
