Apparently her Parkinson's was a mis diagnosis. Linda has something called progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) Also as for music, the singer she mentioned from the Chocolate Drops is Rhiannon Giddens who absolutely fantastic.

Just mainstream media trying to demonize one of the most honorable professions; in the name of "white supremacy and their opression of miniorities". Police officers lay their lives in the line of duty, and help millions on a daily basis. It's a tough job

I am currently reading Not Quite Nirvana by Rachel Neuman. I just started but I am already taken by the warmth and sincerity of her book. ( I should add that I consider Thich Nhat Hanh my teacher). I am very glad to hear of I am Home and look very much forward to reading it.

For Linda Ronstadt, losing her gift and skill to sing must be like losing a loved one. Her enduring legacy as one of the greatest vocalists ever, is now complimented by her new battle to help find a cure for parkinsons. She turned a tragedy, into a cause to relieve suffering for others. That is something I think we could all aspire to. To turn a loss for yourself into a cause to better other people, is something that I truly admire about her. I wouldn't be surprised, that Linda's fight to promote awareness and fundraise to end parkinson's will be a legacy that rivals her musical career. She's a role model for us all, that if life throws you lemons, then make lemonade. Never let a loss destroy you, turn it into a cause to fight against so others don't suffer.
