Man that’s a hard choice. I know I’d have trouble walking past the 900rr but that wasn’t a choice. I’d probably go with the vfr so clean with all that white plus I’d like to get a 96 and do a rc30 replica

@@575ban Yep, me too mate.. I only bought this bike a few weeks ago and it’s still making me grin when I start it.. It does sound good with the Delkevic.. I recorded a short clip after fitting it, but I’ll sort a better one..give it some more growling throttle! 😄 Cheers for the comment mate 😎👍🏼

Hi Wayne, I've also been rather busy. I started recommissioning my red H2 yesterday and the best part of today also. It's so handy having another H model to refer to in reference to relays and wiring... Work shop manuals are all well and good, however it's better still to have both. Oh and many spare parts too lol. Anyways... It's up an running now after troubleshooting most of the relays as it wasn't turning over on the button. There was no life at all. However the light, horn indicators etc worked fine. It turned out as I was racking my brain, what on earth can it be. Turns out it was the actual ignition press to start button itself. Anyways... I had another right handlebar assembly so I connected it up and it turned over straight away. Bonkers... I put it down to a little oxidation on the contacts. A spray of WD40 on the original and bingo... We have lift off. The charging system seems to be charging too. So tomorrow it's simply a case make a video, put the plastics back and Mot it at some point and enjoy riding it before either I sell it or WW3 arrives. Out of curiosity:- What was the quote from dream machine for a total repray please. Take care. Best regards.

@colinmaddocks9352 Hi Colin, ahh that's good, it's usually a simple thing that typically causes the issues.. I have dealt with similar, cleaning contacts & spraying with electrical cleaning spray. Having a spare ZXR for comparison is also a huge plus 😄👌 I've not obtained the quote yet, I'm still waiting on Kev at DM to finish my ZX12R fairing panel (it had a couple of small marks I wanted gone). It was meant to be ready last week... so I'll have to email him again. Communication isn't their strong point 😏 But I'll let you know once I've spoken to him Ride safe mate.. & hopefully your ZXR will fly through it's mot 👍

@@AnythingEvil78 True, but the RS250 is totally different flyweight bike.. I had a KR1 & bought a new RGV250P in ‘93 and they were both incredible bikes..for their size. It’s a 34 year old more mature lady these days.. so it’s ridden with the sympathy & respect it deserves 😉 Lots of bikes out there, lots of choice.. A beautiful example of the ZXR 750. I remember seeing one exactly the same in the window of my local Kawasaki dealer when it was brand new, I knew I had to have one. Sadly I couldn't afford it. Many years later I did manage to buy an L2 version and I loved it. A few years after that I ended up working at Suzuki UK and purchased a TL1000R W. My brother had an (SRAD) GSXR 750 too. I really enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing, enjoy your lovely collection 🍻.

It also depends on where the meets are as I have a major back injury (ex police, an arrest that blew out 2 lumbar discs etc etc) that sometimes prevents me actually riding.. But yeah, would love to get some bikes to a bike meet or 2 😊🤙🏽

It’s difficult to match that green paint ( it fades slightly and so whilst the new paint is ‘correct’ it obviously hasn’t faded same as original paint has … risky but you could try cutting polish on the original 🤷🏻♂️)

I have done some gentle cutting and polishing, but I can still see some subtle differences in shade.. So my ocd is triggered 😂🤦🏻 hence why I am going to send the bike to Dream Machine for a full paint restoration.. This bike is my favourite & the last I’d sell, so I have no issues putting money into it 😁👍🏼 Really appreciate the comment mate, ride safe 😎🤙🏽

If WW3 or a financial collapse doesn't happen this year. I'll get my green one on the road again next year. I've ridden 1200 miles on my H1 this past 3 months. Out of curiosity does your H2 charge the battery as it should? The rectifier is within the generator/alternator. A notorious issue that they have. You'll only know if you go for a long ride and check the voltage. That's why I have those cigarette usb voltmeter things on the nose cone frame. Best regards.

Fingers crossed Labour will get their act together & make things better Definitely get your green ZXR on the road.. they deserve to be ridden 😊 The max I'll ever do is 50 miles as I have major back issues, but the bike charges fine.. not had an issue. I also keep them all on trickle chargers in the garage.

Aussie Al here and I owned a 91 FN model in Red. Purchased it as second owner with 48,000km on clock and kept it for just on 20 years and another 100,000km. Was used every day (well nearly every day) to commute Queenslands famous Kuranda Range (Cairns) and tour the East coast of Australia. I absolutely cherished the beast. It will quite easily pull 250km/h (150mph) and It would powerslide out of bends in the right rev range and every day when off to work it would be warmed up and on my dirt road i would fishtail for just on 80m thru 1st , 2nd then into third. I know it sounds like i abused it in that sense but it was looked after and the only problem it EVER encounted was with a full touring load the center stand gave way just as I finished filling the tank in a garage. The weld gave way and this is a problem that can occur (probably later in life as it turns out) apart from that the clocks polycarbonate face deteriorates but yours being garaged i cant see that happening. gave it to my nephew five years ago when i bought a 45foot boat to live on and he's only just sold it and bought a Harley. (everyone to their own i guess). Such a strong ,sturdy ,reliable beast and i do miss her. I now have a 1991 VTR 1000F 🏍 and its great but its just not the same, Vtwins are good but Vfours are great. Enjoy the new addition or should i say addiction to the garage and alternate those rides. Stay Safe & Stay Upright. 🤙

Sounds like you had a brilliant relationship with your VFR, and that is some mileage, kudos my friend!👊🏼 Mine only has 14k so I feel a little inadequate in comparison 😂 Your experience and many others I read online was what convinced me to pull the trigger and finally get a VFR of my own! I have always wanted one, but the timing was never quite right, or I purchased something else.. but I am super pleased with this one.. Your VTR is a great bike as well, I guess my TLR would be the Suzuki equivalent.. but yeah, that V4 motor is the best of both worlds, torquey, but revs when you want to.. Really appreciate the comment mate, ride safe too fella 😎👍🏼

Thanks, totally agree.. I had a Delkevic on my Fireblade and CBR1100 Blackbird some years back.. Good value for money exhausts. Not sure yet if I’ll keep this exhaust on the VFR as I do like my bikes original… but I wanted to hear what so many have said about the Honda V4’s with aftermarket exhausts 😁 They are correct, it sounds so good 😄👌🏼

Hi Wayne, I've also been rather busy. I started recommissioning my red H2 yesterday and the best part of today also. It's so handy having another H model to refer to in reference to relays and wiring... Work shop manuals are all well and good, however it's better still to have both. Oh and many spare parts too lol. Anyways... It's up an running now after troubleshooting most of the relays as it wasn't turning over on the button. There was no life at all. However the light, horn indicators etc worked fine. It turned out as I was racking my brain, what on earth can it be. Turns out it was the actual ignition press to start button itself. Anyways... I had another right handlebar assembly so I connected it up and it turned over straight away. Bonkers... I put it down to a little oxidation on the contacts. A spray of WD40 on the original and bingo... We have lift off. The charging system seems to be charging too. So tomorrow it's simply a case make a video, put the plastics back and Mot it at some point and enjoy riding it before either I sell it or WW3 arrives. Out of curiosity:- What was the quote from dream machine for a total repray please. Take care. Best regards.
@colinmaddocks9352 Hi Colin, ahh that's good, it's usually a simple thing that typically causes the issues.. I have dealt with similar, cleaning contacts & spraying with electrical cleaning spray. Having a spare ZXR for comparison is also a huge plus 😄👌 I've not obtained the quote yet, I'm still waiting on Kev at DM to finish my ZX12R fairing panel (it had a couple of small marks I wanted gone). It was meant to be ready last week... so I'll have to email him again. Communication isn't their strong point 😏 But I'll let you know once I've spoken to him Ride safe mate.. & hopefully your ZXR will fly through it's mot 👍

Meh, me and a mate semi-restored one of these 20 years ago, and my Aprilia RS 250 would whip it in all aspects. We sold it for profit then moved on to some fun motards
@@AnythingEvil78 True, but the RS250 is totally different flyweight bike.. I had a KR1 & bought a new RGV250P in ‘93 and they were both incredible bikes..for their size. It’s a 34 year old more mature lady these days.. so it’s ridden with the sympathy & respect it deserves 😉 Lots of bikes out there, lots of choice.. In all aspects except long term reliability or any endurance racing,also,you have to be well endowed down there to fully enjoy big girls and every boy with toothpicks instead of wrists could ride motards and 2 stroke 250's(love them both to hell,not gonna lie) and the real man cannot say "meh" to a classic like this but then,I suppose you're just gonna tell "anything evil"
A beautiful example of the ZXR 750. I remember seeing one exactly the same in the window of my local Kawasaki dealer when it was brand new, I knew I had to have one. Sadly I couldn't afford it. Many years later I did manage to buy an L2 version and I loved it. A few years after that I ended up working at Suzuki UK and purchased a TL1000R W. My brother had an (SRAD) GSXR 750 too. It also depends on where the meets are as I have a major back injury (ex police, an arrest that blew out 2 lumbar discs etc etc) that sometimes prevents me actually riding.. But yeah, would love to get some bikes to a bike meet or 2 😊🤙🏽

It’s difficult to match that green paint ( it fades slightly and so whilst the new paint is ‘correct’ it obviously hasn’t faded same as original paint has … risky but you could try cutting polish on the original 🤷🏻♂️)
@@stevedavies-pp7dp Cheers Steve, It is difficult, one of the worst tbh.. great colour, but hard to match. I have done some gentle cutting and polishing, but I can still see some subtle differences in shade.. So my ocd is triggered 😂🤦🏻 hence why I am going to send the bike to Dream Machine for a full paint restoration.. This bike is my favourite & the last I’d sell, so I have no issues putting money into it 😁👍🏼 Really appreciate the comment mate, ride safe 😎🤙🏽

If WW3 or a financial collapse doesn't happen this year. I'll get my green one on the road again next year. I've ridden 1200 miles on my H1 this past 3 months. Out of curiosity does your H2 charge the battery as it should? The rectifier is within the generator/alternator. A notorious issue that they have. You'll only know if you go for a long ride and check the voltage. That's why I have those cigarette usb voltmeter things on the nose cone frame. Best regards.
@colinmaddocks9352 Things are not great generally, but let's hope things don't get that bad.. Fingers crossed Labour will get their act together & make things better Definitely get your green ZXR on the road.. they deserve to be ridden 😊 The max I'll ever do is 50 miles as I have major back issues, but the bike charges fine.. not had an issue. I also keep them all on trickle chargers in the garage.

Aussie Al here and I owned a 91 FN model in Red. Purchased it as second owner with 48,000km on clock and kept it for just on 20 years and another 100,000km. Was used every day (well nearly every day) to commute Queenslands famous Kuranda Range (Cairns) and tour the East coast of Australia. I absolutely cherished the beast. It will quite easily pull 250km/h (150mph) and It would powerslide out of bends in the right rev range and every day when off to work it would be warmed up and on my dirt road i would fishtail for just on 80m thru 1st , 2nd then into third. I know it sounds like i abused it in that sense but it was looked after and the only problem it EVER encounted was with a full touring load the center stand gave way just as I finished filling the tank in a garage. The weld gave way and this is a problem that can occur (probably later in life as it turns out) apart from that the clocks polycarbonate face deteriorates but yours being garaged i cant see that happening. gave it to my nephew five years ago when i bought a 45foot boat to live on and he's only just sold it and bought a Harley. (everyone to their own i guess). Such a strong ,sturdy ,reliable beast and i do miss her. I now have a 1991 VTR 1000F 🏍 and its great but its just not the same, Vtwins are good but Vfours are great. Enjoy the new addition or should i say addiction to the garage and alternate those rides. Stay Safe & Stay Upright. 🤙
Aussie Al again sorry two things. Center Stand Collapse & they will chew through voltage regulators (3 0ver the twenty years) so try and find a finned model if it happens , no when it happens.

Sounds like you had a brilliant relationship with your VFR, and that is some mileage, kudos my friend!👊🏼 Mine only has 14k so I feel a little inadequate in comparison 😂 Your experience and many others I read online was what convinced me to pull the trigger and finally get a VFR of my own! I have always wanted one, but the timing was never quite right, or I purchased something else.. but I am super pleased with this one.. Your VTR is a great bike as well, I guess my TLR would be the Suzuki equivalent.. but yeah, that V4 motor is the best of both worlds, torquey, but revs when you want to.. Thanks, totally agree.. I had a Delkevic on my Fireblade and CBR1100 Blackbird some years back.. Good value for money exhausts. Not sure yet if I’ll keep this exhaust on the VFR as I do like my bikes original… but I wanted to hear what so many have said about the Honda V4’s with aftermarket exhausts 😁 They are correct, it sounds so good 😄👌🏼
