  I believe Jax was not like this might’ve been some sort of prankster when he was in the human world and went to the amazing digital Circus to sort of spread it to others, but it might’ve been Caines fault for Jax becoming so evil since like you said Caine have been making everyone’s problems worse without knowing and this definitely isn’t Caines fault since he was programmed to entertain people, entertaining people was the only thing he knew and he isn’t technically evil yet since it’s clearly shows that Kane is going to be the main villain of the series though, we haven’t really learned anything about him yet since just like what we did with Jax we will learn about him slowly and soon people who actually like Caine might start to hate him for his acts since he might go from being a silly AI made to entertain adults and treat them like children being an evil AI known and made to humans forever. We’ll just have to wait and see for all. I know that might be no villain will just have to wait later on in the series

  People probably cant escape because theirs no hard ware component supported to transfer them back to their bodies. He allowed zooble to not go on the adventure in the second episode. Caine also shows a certain gravity and grimness to certain possibilities. I think he becomes nervous when people focus on the exit because he knows its the one obsession that'll drive them insane. And he wants to keep them intact.
