Edge of Infinity is a channel dedicated to the intersection of science and art. We create appealing visualisations of mathematical, physical, chemical, computational and biological phenomena, typically using freely available open source software or our own custom software. We produce videos on fractals, fluid dynamics, cellular automata and other scientific phenomena.

Absolutely brilliant. There is a synergy that's nature encapsulating. Love it!
It's beautiful! I'm trying to learn how to do this too.
This one is so beautiful.
"Listen, I love spaceships as much as the next guy, I'm just saying they're a very insecure method of transportation"
battle of wolf 359
"Resistance...is futile."
The fleet has scattered, and turned to dust. The war is over, but at what cost?
this is one of if not the best infinite zoom I have ever seen!
Thank you very much for the kind words. We're glad you like it!
looks great!
Thanks very much!
gefällt mir außerordentlich ! 😃
Make these with binaural beats
Nice color mapping
Thank you very much!
Great video as usual, I'm loving it. Could you pls make a step by step video tutorial on how to install FractalShades on PC. Thanks
Thank for the kind comment. We are considering creating some tutorials on how to utilise Fractalshades, so these may feature in future videos.
Very Nice! I am the author of Fractalshades software and happy to see it used to produce beautiful visualizations (When you share open source code, often you are unaware if people use it !). One question, at the end of the zoom I see a a patched circle, if I remember correctly this was a bug on the interpolation scale for the last image (the interpolation method is changed for this circle on the last frames). This bug should be solved in recently released v1.1.1. Would you mind confirming which version of the software you use ? If this bug is still there I will open a ticket and investigate.
WOW! Great software. How to install FractalShades on PC?
Hello @Fractalshades_tube, thank you for commenting on this channel! Thank you also for putting in all of the effort to develop Fractalshades, it's a fantastic bit of software. Regarding your comment about the interpolation scale of the last image. We are currently using v1.1.0 (so, presumably a version prior to the bug fix). We will make sure we update to the latest version >= 1.1.1 so that future videos do not include the patched circles! Interestingly enough, for our Echoes of Infinity video (kzread.info/dash/bejne/gGattrGdYqXIpM4.html) this patched circle has produced a nice visualisation for the final frame, which we ended up utilising for the thumbnail :-)
i wonder how it would look if you fall into a 3D-fractal?
Thank you for sharing this idea! We haven't yet considered 3D fractals (such as Mandelbulbs) on the channel, but are thinking about creating some videos featuring them in the future.
They scared me at first too. But now..... it's like I have to look at them! Drawn in by some technological virus that weaves its way into your DNA and you're very psyche! I am not my own anymore I am part of fractal Zoom! Now that's scary 🧟
after looking at this video i looked at a wall and it looked like it was pulling into a singular point. very cool
Pretty dope! Maybe add some low hum music
Thanks for the suggestion! We are certainly considering adding some music to our future videos.
,
insane color effect! fits the pattern very nicely! very well done!!
Thank you very much for the kind comment!
Love the color set, brings out extra dimensions of character. Way more interesting trip with your off-center zoom. Live guiding that zoom direction thru different element areas would be very interesting. Fractals are a cosmic art-form. Like... imagine if the universe generates itself, like this, the further thru space we travel or see it. There is no real center trajectory, among the zillions of centered systems, er maybe lol.
Thank you for the kind comment and the suggestion to consider live guiding through different areas. We may try this in one of our future videos!
greater size ratio than quantum bit to universe ! gee whiz.
I've been trying to get into using Fractalshades, but the documentation is not very helpful. Could you point me toward a tutorial or some other resource to help me out?
I'm also interested in the video tutorial
Thank you for the comment - we are considering creating some Fractalshade tutorial videos, so we may post some in the future.
Thank you very much for your prompt response, well appreciated. Can’t wait 👍🏿👍🏿
Like it. What do you think of this one: morphing from 1 to 1,000,000 iterations: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qWqcpK6Lcs61n7A.html
Well done: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fZqOss6Ncrm1ZLA.html
Great zoom! Tasteful use of color.
Thanks very much!
Absolutely beautiful. Magnificent work!
Thank you very much for the kind feedback! We're glad you like it :-)
Very nice!
Thanks very much!
whoa, this should be the doctor who intro
👏👏👏👏👏!
Thanks!
👏👏👏👏👏!
Thank you!
How do these get created?
We use an open source software tool called FractalShades gbillotey.github.io/Fractalshades-doc/overview.html to create all of the fractal zoom videos. The software provides a range of color schemes and lighting options, which can be combined to create some interesting effects.
@@EdgeOfInfinity42 so what exactly is it visualizing
These things scare me
How?
Me too. .. Its looks or feels like when i was in K hole and some of the images remaining when i was in sleep paralysis
Me too😰
