Did you need the weather strip with the spray in bed liner?

I didn't use the included weather strip and there is a small gap between the cover and the bed/liner, but I haven't noticed any issues or water getting in. If I had to do it again I'd probably install it, but I don't want to take the cover off just do to that now.

How many miles do you usually go on the trails in one day with it

Good question! I'm not really sure. This is my longest pure trail ride at 5.4 miles. I probably used a bit over half my range but didn't actually check. Also, there wasn't much elevation change and not too rocky which would also affect range. I'm using the Greenworks 4.0 for my VnR.

Where do you place the camera to record daily progress? I’m trying to do the same for ours

We were able to place it on a tripod, on our balcony. If you don't have a balcony you'll want to get it as high up as possible (ladder?) and use a wide angle lens.
