how long does it take to charge?
Can you go in reverse
Whats the most miles you’ve put on a segway? Meaning how long do they last?
what specifically do you like about this bike over all other bikes?
where can i purchase the extended handle?
I didn't know that they made those anymore
Merci Canada M.T.L Québec
I think I found my bike after a year of searching
Have you ever done a range test?
Wait, We have/had the same things! I owned a Cycleboard e-scooter and a Segway PT i2 model!!! I've traded them all for electric unicycles, but sometimes I want to glide easy on sidewalks and am considering this. The slow speed stumps me though. After all of these years, it still has the Segway PT's slow speed.
There is a company you can contact that has an aftermarket over the air speed update.
Do you have any thoughts on this vs the Ninebot S Max? I really want the higher battery life compared to the normal S, but also want to be able to use hand steering some of the time. Max has the hand steering built in, but I haven’t been able to find a definitive answer on if you can put a knee steering thing on it. The S plus has that cool, but aftermarket, steering attachment. Hard choices 😅
I went with the S plus today even though the Max was on sale for cheaper. The big reason was that the Max comes with solid, treadless tires that hurt people's knees and probably aren't safe to ride in the rain. It's also heavier and possibly less durable because it doesn't come with the knee steering by default. The Max has more powerful motors and a slightly larger battery, but the giant battery hangs so low that I'd worry about it scraping against the rough sidewalks where I live.
@@bobbyc1120 Good choice on going with the S-Plus instead of the Max. All your assumptions are spot on. The Max is seriously heavy with zero advantage unless you plan to get the incredibly overpriced go-cart. And the Plus has features not available on the Max.
Don't honor hassle free policy for repairs. Stay away!
Great seeing you Kenny. That is one beautiful bike brother. Enjoy please be safe.
Which phone holder did you use? Is it reliable?
Did you have any trouble related to delivery?
Thank you for the upload!
como faco pra compra esse produto tem tempo que estou tentando conpra e nao conssigo sou do brasil br nao estou consseguindo
This channel will get very big! Awesome videos man.
Thanks for the video very informative ! I’m waffling between the nine speed or the CVT not sure yet which direction I want to go. Since you have the nine speed how do you feel the shifts ? I know it does have more sensors to stop the motor if a shift detection is sensed but there’s a side of me that also might want to try to CVT technology but it is more expensive.
Came for a review, got a lecture about supporting local shops and a reading of some specs from their website.
Great info! One question: Is the display screen easily detachable? Concerned about theft or other bike riders accidentally damaging my display while parked at a crowded bike rack
Hey big question it come with the remote ??
This model dose
😃😃😃 I still have plastic on things too, like my home stereo. I ordered my DOST Drop bike a week ago, delivery in mid October. Can’t wait. Thanks for your review.
Can I ask how tall you are ? . I understand that the Kope has a slightly larger frame . I am 6 ft and wonder which mode , kope vs drop would fit me better . Thanks 🍻
Hi should I put some type of grease or chain lube on my new out of the box Dost bike?
Cool video, would you say this product still worth on 2021? Ive seen is at least 3 years old, do you know if still receives updates through the app? Regarding the camera probably is not produced anymore as I have not seen it anywhere, probably outdated quality already. Thanks!
I really enjoyed your review. Yesterday, a man soliciting for a pest control company came to my front door on one of these! He really talked me into it (the segway, NOT the pest control service)! I am going to be 66 years old in August but I think I can handle operating the Segway Ninebot S-Plus. Found one online for 779.00. I'm just now sitting here trying to give myself reasons not to treat myself to one. Go figure! (I'll bet it won't be one week before I'm cruising around my neighborhood on one). What the Hell, my neighbors already think I'm weird anyway. (and admittedly so)!!!
I had a pest control guy come to my house riding an S-Plus also. Are you in Huntsville AL? I showed him my S-Plus handle. He loved it.
"Things to ride" is kinda sus.
▪ Edi wow . 🟥
Is the steering bar adjustable height wise ?
Steering bar is not adjustable because it is specifically designed to be perfectly weighted when quickly folded back to still hold perfect neutral balance so that it stays put when you hop off or still follow you without running off (S-Max with handle can't do that). Height adjustment really is not necessary at all as it would be on a bike. So 4'6" or 6'4" is perfectly fine with the handle and plenty comfortable for both or anywhere in between.
👍 i think will get one
Hey where can I purchase the handle bar for the ninebot S plus?
www.segwayhandle.com
I bought one and love it. I am disabled. I should have purchased the Drop instead of the Kope. Easier to mount and dismount. The bike enables me to get some exercise and assistance when needed.
Love your calmness.
I’m in a white white car and I’m not gonna go to eat my phone I can’t do anything but I’ll get you some stuff I love you I don’t know what I’m doing but I love you so much and I hope you’re ok 👍 I don’t know how to spell your name but I really love you 😍 m
HAS ANYONE SEEN LAZY TOWN THIS IS THE FAILED ACTOR ROBBIE ROTTEN !!!!!!!!!!!
I think you chose a great bike. The mid mount motor I think feels like a more connected pedaling experience. In your other video you spoke about making sure your near by bike shop would be available to work on your bike. How did you find a bike shop? I live in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Is there a where are you to find out if shops around here will work on Dost?
Just purchased mine!
▪ How is it ? 🟥
After 652 miles I got a 08 Hall Sensor Code. They don't honor the hassle free policy and instead want to reimburse you for repairs. Stay away
One of the bikes I'm seriously considering. Is the main battery removable?
yes
So irritating you are man, do you ever watch your own videos? Every self liking fool makes videos today.
Great video! What’s the weight of the scooter? Can you carry it one-handed to place in the trunk of a car? Can you ride it indoors like a mall or airport?
This cycleboard is pretty heavy....I cannot carry it with one hand like the Segway S-Plus. That is also not easy to carry in one hand. I do not think the cycle board is protected like the segway is by the laws. You have to check the laws in your state or city to see if it is legal in the mall and airport. Segways are allowed through the checkpoint. Please check with your airline for their specific policy. I did find this info that says "airline's policy says that small personal devices with lithium batteries smaller than 100 watt-hours can be carried onboard, or put in checked luggage. A United representative confirmed to Quartz that this includes hoverboards." I hope this helps!
@@thingstoride1383 thank you! I am thinking of purchasing the Elite street model since it is the lightest.
Hi. I’m seriously considering this bike and the Kope. How long did it take for you to receive it from the time that you ordered yours? Are there any import taxes (or taxes of any kind) charged to you? Thank you in advanced.
It took a while to receive. I was communicating with the office throughout the process. It seems as if they have orders coming in every 6 months or so. I would guess that this is due to the corona situation as many bike companies are on back order. Just be patient...its worth the wait.
Sounds good. You’re a lucky guy. Enjoy and stay safe.
I’ve been researching electric bikes for the past month hopefully to have one just in time for the warmer weather. I’ve got quite a few of local bikes shops where I live and others 45 minutes to an hour away. The only issue I have is that none of can come close in cost for an electric bike that the three or four major line dealers cost. On line your looking at approx $1,500 to $1,800. The local dealers start at $3,000. I’m just a recreational rider that’s not looking to spend that kind of money for a EB That I can get for half the price. I’m sure the quality is not going to compete with the higher end bikes at the local dealer but I’m not going cross county. Appreciate your vid and wish you luck in your new endeavor, hope you’ll keep posting vids when ur up and running. Be well
Thank you so much and I know exactly what you mean. This is definitely a higher priced bike. You can definitely get a bike in the $1500 price range that will be fun. This is actually the only mid drive bike that I own and they are typically pricier for sure. You will see lots of fun hub motor bikes in your price range and although it will not have all the bells and whistles of this bike it will certainly be fun. I have a lot of fun with my other bikes, this one just happens to be my favorite. Thank you also for the compliment. I will absolutely be doing lots of reviews in the days, weeks, and years ahead. Unlike the other reviewers I am not going into how many millimeters things are, but I hope that my style of just being a normal consumer will ring a bell with folks that prefer to have a novice opinion instead of an engineering expert. I really appreciate your wishing me goof luck and please subscribe...more fun stuff to come! All The Best, Kenneth
Hi there, Don't be fooled by the price, the Radpower bike is absolutely awesome, those mid-drive ebikes that are $3000 plus, are not that great; most don't have a trottle, no free-wheel etc and they can be plagued with problems . I purchased 2 rad power bikes, the rad Rover 5 and the rad rover step-thru for my wife last September 2020, I have over 1200 Kms and zero problems.
@@newreflectionsproductions thanks for your feedback.. appreciate it.
@@newreflectionsproductions 👍
The USB port is under the bottom of the display, facing the rider. It gives a rather minimal charge to a smartphone, not really enough to have much of an effect on overall battery performance but will keep the phone alive.
Thanks Edward! I thought he looked for it and didn’t see it but apparently it’s there. It’s underneath the rubber cover that you would never notice....unless you looked very closely.
If you look at the bottom of the display you will find the USB port. Also you can change your power assist to go up to 9
I didn’t realize it’s there! Thank you so much for pointing that out. That’s super cool to know. I also appreciate the fact that we can adjust the number of power assist levels. Since I’m comfortable with the five I think I’m probably gonna stick with that, but it is nice to know that there are options. Thank you so much for letting me know all about this!
It's 2799 without the extra battery?
Jason?
Kenneth :)
I learn it by you
Thank you!
Hi Kenneth, nice video. I'm seriously considering this model but don't want to make spend a lot of money and regret it later on. Can you demo the handle bar as I would definitely want that. I've ridden the Segway PT and loved it. Do you have any preferences on a handle bar?
Video with the handle kzread.info/dash/bejne/lqtssdqIaJqbdaQ.html
I would love to do a video on the handle Carla, but the segway is now at my office in LA. The good news is that Segway is now coming out with a new model that actually comes with a handle. They are launching it on IndieGoGo so I would definitely keep your eyes open for that.
I walk with a cane and have no problem riding this. Once you get comfortable on it you can start to really carve. I have been tearing it up at UCI over the winter break. This thing is a beast I own 2 of these so recommend them. Give it some time it gets way better try riding with one hand and sand sideways on it opens up your turning.
Absolutely agree 100% It is a lot of fun and does take some getting use to. Glad to hear that you are able to use it and stay mobile and active on it too. I will definitely keep shredding on mine and I am certain that I will continue to get more and more comfortable with it.
Good point on the local bike shop. I bought the Radrover and coordinated with my local shop to assemble and tune the bike for a fee. I've taken the bike in for periodic maintenance. The local guy is happy and I am happy having his experience. Thanks for the review
No worries. I am glad that you are getting the support from a local bike shop. Its important to have someone you can go to for maintenance on your ebike because it is not easy to do for yourself.
