Around the 22 minute mark of the video Wally takes the ball runs ten meters and scores a try! When he gets up he is blowing like a steam train... must have been a mighty effort a training Wal!

"No wonder Andy Gregory's waving at the south stand.. that must be the try of the season.." 😂😂 Seen Andy Greg a few weeks back at that fruit & veg shop on that little complex where bus depot used be on pottery road, he was dropping cages of supplies off to the fruit & veg shop, I gave him a hand getting the cages through the narrow doorway. Towd him that him & sean were my idols in early 90's when I was 7-8, but then billy whizz came along & he's still my all time favourite player

I am from/living in Liverpool, what I could never understand is this ... Yes we are an Association Football city, a predominantly working class city Yet Rugby Union is played here even though all our surrounding towns Widnes St Helens & Warrington are are all Rugby League ... Please can anybody explain to me Why This Is ???

Skerrett was a disgraceful individual, a cowardly grub that just took cheap shots, any fucka that leads with an elbow when someone has been tackle and held is a disgrace, anyone can do that shit, what he did to Sironen should have had him banned for life, fuckin coward and this is from a Kiwi , don't even like the Aussies

Is this your average game from back then? Punch a guy on the ground, both get up and play the ball (at 11.53). Seemed every tackle in this vid was a head shot!

It’s not as bad a miss as people will have you believe. Look at the try that preceeded it. The pitch was in an appalling state. I bet his boots were sodden, very difficult to stand the ball up, knackered at the end of a game in such dreadful conditions. It wasn’t an open goal. And of course insane pressure. Would still have expected to make the kick.

It should be Sir Martin Offiah by now ! Many lesser talents in sport and entertainment have been recognised. Sir Martin as far as I am concerned was given a gift by God to run as fast as a gale in a storm with the ball. He thrilled millions with his talents and was always willing to share his joy with them. KNIGHT HIM I SAY !!!

I'm a union guy, but I have to say that there's something about league that interests me, and it's the supporters who gather in pubs and clubhouses. The old players had to have day jobs in order to survive, too, yet were not considered amateur by union, which was BS. Getting 15L for winning a game wasn't anything to live on then, let alone 6L for losing. In America at the same time was the Amateur Athletic Union, with many company teams playing sports like basketball, softball. They were considered amateurs, even though they were semi-professionals. Should have been the same for league players way back.
