I think Americans don't understand what a Tripel should be. Especially when you put commercial version (Karmeliet) and American version on top of THE authentic Tripel (Westmalle), which is the reference for the Tripel style. In Belgium, if you do the same experiment, the scores would just be upside down. Like the monks say, if you can tell what it is, you've overdone it. Val Dieu and Westmalle are references in Belgium. Putting them at the bottom of the list makes you unable to appreciate the Belgian art of brewing
Get some Natty Bohs!
1) Hamm's 2) Pfeiffer's 3) Blatz ......... TOP 3 in the world!!
Probably should have included genesee
My dads fav was Rhinelander
😬
I think cans are the worst way to enjoy beer. Draught is king then bottle. To me many beers change flavors drastically from a can, to the point to where generally good beers actually taste bad.
American beer is awful!
Great Video, love the concept!
My uncle used to drink Lowenbrau almost exclusively but in the 90s at some point it went away from our local area and he switched to miller high life. Both beers he drank pony bottles.
Miller highlife should ONLY be drunk by the bottle.
In Quebec colt 45 is 8%
I was stationed at Ft. Carson Colorado in 1971. No one drank Coors in the bars I frequented. Schlitz was the beer of choice:)
I like Yuengling but it can have a sour taste. I extol the virtues of Miller High Life in a bottle and I get a bunch of thumbs down. However I call it the poor man’s Corona. And it is very good at a cookout:). Thanks a big fan of Dad beer.
What no Burgermiester ? My dad loved Burgy
High life and PBR never disappoint
I'd rather drink any of these rather than a craft beer
I think that all Mexican beers are at least drinkable. I keep trying Coors, and I keep putting it down and forgetting about it.
what about genesee?
banquet stubbies will forever be my go to
I'd have to say for me: 1) PBR 2) Miller High Life 3) Coors Banquet I can fuck with Narragansett. Some guys I went to college drank that and steel reserve. I can't do Yuengling. I think it's awful.
Wait, where'd you find Schlitz? Haven't seen it since pre-covid. Thought they stopped producing it again.
If PBR is a dad beer then clear the couch off. i need a place to nap mid-day.
Any of those beers might give you the Schlitz.
I've only had 2 of these, Coors and Miller. I struggle to finish Coors, and Miller is drinkable
I drink Miller Lite because it tastes Great.
about a year ago, all alone on a friday night. For whatever reason, I went and bought an Icehouse of all things. Not great, not gross, maybe belongs on this list. It cold on a hot day would hit the spot perhaps. Hey! Just learned they brought back Stroh's.
First time I got drunk drinking beer it was with Pacifico, been my favorite ever since
Cava is mad underrated, costing many times less than champagne and being equally as good.
What size are those glasses with the handle? Ive never seen those before they look very small
Who else came here from Whangs twitter post
Modelo all day
First!
Excellent job my friend!
So many new beers taste like IPA. Dad beers resisted. Go Dad!
A nice cold keystone is pretty good
Worst dad beers from previous experience : Schaefer, Old Dutch, Falstaff, Straub
Whoa boy... Straub just doesn't sound like it's going to be great for whatever reason haha.
I love Yuengling! Beer tongue twister: How many Schlitz Could a Schlitz Pabst Blatz If a Schlitz Pabst Pabst Blatz Schlitz?
Narragansett is the most sweet. it's nasty but pbr is still more disgusting.
schlitz or budweiser. i say schlitz because its harder to find. i am only in my 40's but tried schlitz ten years ago and it was great. pabst and coors banquet are the worst. pabst smells like throw up and coors was too sweet.
It's amazing how big an impact the revolutions of 1848 in central Europe had on American culture.
you need Hamms!
I already knew which one was the yuengling just by the color. I would need a divider and a straw to make this fair.
Coors Banquet is my favorite; I drive by the brewery twice a day. I slam about half of my first one, then sip the rest
La Fin Du Monde...Megadeth beer by Unibroue is delicious and listening to Megadeth while drinking it is even better.
Hell yeah! Love everything from Unibroue and it's hard to top early Megadeth \m/ - Craig
The chat with Alexa was hilarious! We need not all fear AI just yet I think! 😜
Fun! Thanks guys.
I like em all lol.
Karmeliet is my favorite triple too. I get it on draft every time I go to the beer garden. The bartender suggested it when they were out of st. Bernardus and I've been ordering it ever since.
El Sol is a favorite from high school. 91 and in early to see how it fares
if it has added sugars it should immediately be disqualified and fake beer
