Great video 👍
Good tip about using a socket & ratchet on the end of the tap spanner! Beats trying to use those silly bars you get with them!
Appreciate the clear and direct explanation. I've been using plastic anchors for my curtain rod and they don't support it well. I finally decided the metal ones were the way to go but the instructions that came with my tool were unclear: 1 drill a hole, 2 pound in the anchor with a hammer, 3 remove the screw, 4 remove the screw (?? Isn't it already removed?). I tried a few things, including looking for a manufacturer video and was about to give up, but then i found yours and it suddenly made sense. I've now installed the curtain rod and it actually feels solid, with 2 metal anchors firmly in place.
👍👍👍
Of course your screws look new, mine is rusted and damaged, nothing works tried first 3 nope didn’t work
🤔
When I stripped the last screw of the job, I literally picked up everything within my arms reach and gave each of them a go, then repeated at least once more, before I watched the video and tried the powerdrill idea. It still didn’t work, then I pushed so hard that the poor drill bit snapped.. I then picked up the half bit, put it back in the driver and did again, then it worked!! In the end, it was the rough end of the bit that did the trick, and…never gave up!!👍
👍
What’s the chemical you cleaned it with first?
Methylated spirits, knows as denatured alcohol in some countries 👍
This is a joke...9 out of 10 times your bolt is going to be where you wont have the luxury of being able to use a drill. This guy is working arm height, in a vise, with all his wight behind the drill!!! This is NOT real life!!!
Wow, as all my time working as a maintenance engineer, every broken bolt has been right in front of me, with tons of room to work on the bolt 😜
A 230v mains grinder is fine if you are not taking a bath...
You have to realise that some people are that stupid, that they would get in a bath full of water with a mains powered grinder 😜
Are they stil for sale in the UK. If so where to buy them?
Sorry, I can’t seem to find them for sale in the UK anymore 😱
where did you get the saw?
I can’t remember where I bought it now, as I’ve probably had it 30 years. They are very difficult to find now!
I’m just wondering if it will hold my tv up. Because I'm thinking of putting my TV on the wall. It's plasterboard, then behind it, it's brick. My tv is really heavy need 2 people to lift it up.
NO, I would use these instead- Rigifix- kzread.info/dash/bejne/qpWNyNVsnNWXmqw.html&t Corefix- kzread.info/dash/bejne/aayAyquJn7Kbl7Q.html&t 👍
Interesting information regarding sbr slurry to aid bonding.. just done one today lifted the cut tiles in the valley and layed a bed underneath then pointed the face
Yeah, SBR is wonderful stuff 👍
Jesus saves
👍
Great video! Do you need to seal the bricks first?
No need to seal the bricks, just check the instructions on the can. If I remember rightly, if the bricks are dusty, you can wet them to aid adhesion 👍
You ever tried using epoxy instead of welding on a bolt?
Yes, I have, it snapped right off immediately 👍
I'm gonna try this, as I have lost my padlock key and can't find them to save my life. Lol
👍
Why just a 5/16" 18 and be done with it? "
🤔

Where can these be bought

Good practical info. Can't go wrong following this demonstration. Thanks for vid.
I’m glad you found the video useful Thanks for the comment 👍
In automotive applications we are forbid to use them on brake lines. They say they can fail under pressure, this kind of proves that theory wrong.
👍
My kitchen faucet has non stop leaking I could not change the valve cartridge as it is out of stock so I shut off the water valves under sink and water line under sink but it has continued to leak everywhere front the faucet and under cabinet can not get part until in stock but why is the water non stop leaking with all valves shut off
Perhaps the valves are passing (not shutting off the supply)!
Thanks dude 👍🏼
You are welcome Thanks for the comment 👍
Great video ! Thanks.

Saab 93 v6 starter here got stuck trying to remove a stuck torx bolt on the secondary air pump. . Removing it with the special socket set with the spiral inside allowed me to twist it from the outside of the bolt. FINALLY!!! .
Glad you got it sorted 👍
Hate when don't have the tools for the job 😖
👍
Also a note for future viewers, if your cartridge is leaking, there's a chance screw the large hexagon thingy a bit tighter can fix it, not even need to replace. At least that's what happened to mine. Saved me a few dollars
👍
I watched so many similar videos for the matter and this video is the only one helpful. Thank you 🎉
I’m glad you found the video useful Thanks for the comment 👍
Are male and female always the same size once you pick the size i.e 1/2 inch or is one thread smaller than the other?
Yes, but some threads are tapered, such as BSPT threads. BSPT threads normally seal by applying PTFE tape to them, then once the threads are tight, it creates a good seal 👍
I didn’t know slip couplings and solved it by putting in 4 elbow joints plus the tee!
👍
5.4 head welded nut 10 times , always twisted off. no sucess with e/z outs.
Not all bolts can be removed, sometimes you have to drill the damn things out 👍
Those saws are a piece of shite. Got one exactly the same and it ran for about 20 to 25 minutes and it stopped altogether. Nightmare getting Dewalt to fix it. Was not worth the hassle. When looking on line how to fix it i saw loads of posts of people with the same problem. Very unreliable product.
Blimey, that’s not good! Mine has been great, I’ve used it lots recently 🤔
It is an excellent tutorial video and very helpful. I have been watching it for several times. I have a question to ask. Can WD Purple 6 tb hard disk be used as an external drive for my Reolink NVR 8-410? Please advise me. Many thanks in advance.
Yes, a 6TB WD purple will be perfect 👍
@@ultimatehandyman Thanks for reply. How to resolve the power cable for the power supply and data cable for the hard drive?
You need a ESATA hard drive enclosure, like this- tinyurl.com/mr24w4me If you have a 3.5 inch hard drive, make sure you get the correct enclosure (not a 2.5 inch version)
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

It seems to me that the amount of torque that was being applied , that caused the bolt to snap, is significantly greater than the torque being achieved with these measures. I have doubts as to whether this will work with the snapped bolts that I work on.
Great info - unfortunately the style of seal kit appears to be only available in the UK .... some UK sellers want A$100 postage + A$15 for the item ... but found one a little more reasonable .... supply + postage to Australia for 9 quid ... about A$18
Blimey, it’s so annoying that the manufacturers of the waste pipe fittings don’t supply these seals as standard with their products! 👍
Anyone know the size of the nut that goes from the hose to the back of the plug?
Thank you so much for getting under the sink with clear pictures. I was searching how to unscrew the part underneath and your video was the best!
You are welcome Thanks for the comment 👍
I bought a Cmos battery with wrong style plug. What is the best way to splice wires to put old connector on new battery?
I’d strip the insulation and just twist them together, then tape with insulation tape 👍
@@ultimatehandyman I had planned to try that but finally got it to plug in using a cut off floss pick as a press down tool. I have never seen them plug in that tight. I hope I don't need to unplug for a long time. Thanks.
You gave me hope thanks
Brilliant! Thanks for the comment 👍
Omg thats awesome i been in here trying to find something to help my guy out he broke the bolts on his elbow something or other and hes acting like a little pouty sad baby..and that was after he threw a big fit..and stormed to the fridgr n grabbed a beer..personally i believe its the beer n zero patience ..lol but so he tried all differrent things but im showing him this thanks dude your a lifesaver ..great video great instruction n patience ...bless you ..now imma huge fan...salutations from .van zandt county ...canton, texas with a rebel yell and a big hell yea ...we salute ya sir ..thanks
Far too complicated for the average customer to follow.
Use em on a hollow door?
I recall years ago being told the only way of doing this was via 'spark erosion' at a huge cost. This is a revelation. Thanks
Another tip to find leaks under floor is to add cheap aftershave or perfume, then run heating system and within a couple of days you will smell the area where the leak is. Thank me later!
3mm hex c/s bolt on MTB jockey wheel failed with allen key, tried screw grab liquid and boiling water to no avail, too small I thought for cold chisel but this viseo had centre punch. Had to sharpen mine first but after banging to make purchase ding managed to get say 30 degree angle to chase out. Thank-you. 🙂
Hi ! 2 years later do you recommend this product ? Or can you think of a better one for a similar range of price ? Thanks.
Very detailed and great job
Pretty short screws
