The simbas were the good guys Mobutu and the prime minister were not on our side. You see what he did to Lumumbas

Kabila killed Lumumba he cause the madness Mobutu all served as puppets for Europe and west. Lumumba appointed them and was betrayed. Theres reason Lumumba was eliminated allowing fo all of these to be set up. Why country has been used for its minerals oil and abandoned Was haitian feeling ashamed, but seeing all the corruption and sellouts among the african bredrin is shameful.

Whatever suspicion the Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah had about the Western powers then can't be described as he being paranoid. It was a fact and he knew they were after him and sadly with the collaborators help, they overthrew his government. He could have also practicalised the position of the non-aligned position Ghana took then without being seen siding with any bloc because the Soviet Union then couldn't and never helped any ally who sided with them during the height of the cold war. Also, if he wanted to rule Ghana for long, he could have maintained the parliamentary system of government but he thought the Presidential system came with more power as a leader and that was the beginning of his mistake. It took Flt. Lt. J.J. Rawlings' regime to punish some of those coup makers including the ones that happened afterwards for coups to be stopped completely in Ghana; even though, President Rawlings himself a coup maker, we were finally ushered into the fourth Republic on the 7th January, 1993 through his efforts.

-You think it was easy to mobilize to shame and ditch British superpower authority? -You think it was easy to fight for the less privileged against an inner circle of powerful bourgeoises? -You think it was easy to bring together and unite enemy ethnic groups and tribes who had their own sworn respective leaders? -You think it was easy to remain resolute and continue to fight for a nation and an entire continent after several attempts of assassination and opposition? -You think it was easy to persuade, awaken and enlighten an entire continent under colonial rule? -You think it was easy to build over 20 fully functioning and effectively producing industries in just 9 years of governance? -You think it was easy to set off a nation without any production lines to a self sustaining nation producing more than half it consumed, also just in 9 years? -You think it was easy to bring a colony into such fast pace of development that it became a flash of hope the entire world keenly looked upon? -etc in just NINE (9) YEARS as Head of state? - You think it was easy, after all those years, to not accumulate a single property for oneself nor inheritance for one's family? ...All against the odds and influences of foreign intelligence agencies? It takes a MESSIAH. This man achieved it ALL. NKRUMAH NEVER DIES! He forever LIVES!

Wow! Thank you, Bisi, for this highly informative documentary about Congo. As the common adage in Yorubaland goes, "We can all see the beginning of war, but we may never know how far it will take us in terms of destruction and duration." Bisi, are things now stable in Congo (DRC)?

so many inaccuracies in your research for sure. especially the mine part. you forgot that pre- genocide govt had not clear data on mineral export and yet they had mining companies registered by France and Belgium. Uganda discovered gem deposit even today still exports it. if the stone were stolen wouldn't that mean they no longer have export parity and why are they keep exporting if they have no deposit of such minerals?

We must acknowledge the historical division and manipulation of African tribes by European powers. The deliberate carving of smaller territories and instigation of tribal conflicts have hindered the potential for a united African empire. Until we confront this truth, our progress will remain stunted.

Point of vital correction, it was General Acheampong who welcomed President Nkrumahs remains to Ghana. Rawlins was a young pilot then, he flew the helicopter that had President Nkrumahs remains to Nkroful. It was President Nkrumah who gave a young recruit Acheampong the opportunity to join the army .General Acheampong never forgot this. Well done documentary, however this last bit needs to be corrected.
